Interesting list. Antennapod is an excellent podcast app - use it every day. I’ve never found VLC to be bloated though. And am curious about the SyncThing fork vs. regular SyncThing.

Is she a tea-drinker? Maybe a bag of some really nice tea from a proper tea shop, herbal or otherwise. My experience is that tea drinkers really appreciate a nice artisan-style brew. It’s an understated but thoughtful gesture.
Another recommendation for Paprika. Been using for years and as another commenter said…nothing really tops it. Great scaling tools and it magically parses the ingredients versus the directions and builds in timers etc. Categorisation options are endless. Kind of a bummer that the PC version is another purchase (and a bit pricey). But the Android version is great (and pretty reasonable). I downloaded and sign in with an account that my wife and I share so we can both add recipes and have the same info.
