Views, positions have gotten more extreme and cemented at that. Probably due to algorithms of “traditional” social media, that focus on them to raise clicks. (This trend to extreme positions and freaking out on the slightest trigger is also noticeable in real life behaviour, imho.) I sometimes block folks because I know there will not be a frank exchange of views but pure hate, extremism.

According to Wikipedia they do some magic in their roots, while living: “As legumes, clovers fix nitrogen using symbiotic bacteria in their root nodules, and are used as an alternative or supplement to synthetic nitrogen fertilizers.”
There’s low growing clover varieties IMHO, and clover has proven to be much more drought resistant here (Germany) than grass. It also improves the soil quality.

Good article trying to explain the backgrounds at the beginning, but very much petering out at the end where it tries to describe personal connections and feelings. My current vibe on the situation in TBS is that most (young folks) have resigned on saving the country and trying to get the f* away to Europe, with some misconceptions about the situation here. There is a very strong underground culture among the young, stronger than I’ve seen anywhere in DE, and I very much liked it, but they seem to keep to themselves while it lasts.
I really don’t know.
Seeing all the right wing ideas resurface the longer the CxU is in government, as if they only were in hiding during the Ampel and feeling free to voice their shit now “they have a majority” makes me afraid of the future. This judge appointment failure made clear how much (hidden?) destructive hard right influence there is. And idiot Spahn wants to ride the tiger, where in my reality he’d rot in jail. I’d not underestimate him wanting to be the next chancellor, with the help of the brown masses after a re-election.
Unfortunately I can’t see a way out of this desaster.

When I was a young I read Pyramids by Terry Pratchett in German. Months later I found out that the bookstore also had the English original, bought that and was totally surprised how much better the book is. No translations anymore since then.
I’m not very good at Turkish, Spanish, French, but when on holidays abroad I try to read the local newspapers. Much more immersive that way.
