“Venomous Lumpsucker” by Ned Beauman was good. The writing style reminded me of Weir a bit.

“The Reformatory” by Tananarive Due was also pretty good.

Very different books from each other. Neither are completely without flaw, but both books were a solid B+.

Ive never read a bad Agatha Christie book.

My favorite book is “A Confederacy of Dunces” by John Kennedy Toole, and his novella “Neon Bible” was also very good.

I dont use super secret messaging apps. I also dont fuck with peer to peer anything. I was broadly speaking about why anonymity on the internet is important to me.

Roku solved my wifi/buffering issue way back in 2015 or so, when i was using a Sony bluray player that had built in streaming capability. I became a devout user after that.

Also the UI isnt clunky, laggy like so many cheap TVs and such (except the Youtube App is fucking laggy trash).

Is the recommended ONN streamer (see above) as good as the Roku at all the same shit?

I would love to ditch the rokus for all the same shit.

I would assume if an entity had my phone number they could easily connect it to me, like by spoofing it and calling themselves and getting the name off caller id or some shit, or even just subpoenaing the phone carrier for the id of the phone number. Why they would want to do that for little old fudgy mctubbs is beyond me.

I’ll say it: I dont want anybody to know what I jack off to. It’s all legal stuff, but im too prudish to have that be public.

You know that some weirdo would say the opposite if it was positive comments first. It’s a lose-lose situation for the writer.

I was filling up my gas tank the other day and I just stopped because I decided that that was enough money spent on gasoline for the day. The tank wasnt full. I wasnt out of money. I understand that it means i will have to find a gas pump sooner eventually. But, man, it made sense in the moment.

Ah yes. Kids clothes add a lot of time.

Here’s the thing about folding clothes, Professor: it’s a 2-minute task if you fold the clothes right after they come out of the dryer. It’s when you let laundry pile up that it becomes a marathon.

I know this, but I still occasionally let mine build up, and i regret it every time.

I use a nucbox mini pc and two usb ext hdds to run a jellyfin server and a samba file server. Works great. Im using Lubuntu – i dont exactly recommend it, but it works fine enough. Any lite Linux distro would probably work great. Here’s a picture of my janky “server rack” setup:
