They were blocking a gate, disrupting other travelers while repeatedly ignoring police orders to move. They staged a scene at an airport, in a country still healing from the scars of ETA terrorism. Who thinks that’s a smart move? What’s the point?

If you ask me, their best-case scenario was probably to provoke a police response, let the images of the confrontation go viral, and grab some attention. Well, the police delivered exactly what they seemed to want.

wow, there is so much misinformation. as someone working with dogs it really astonishes me that people dont realise there is much more to dogbreeding than just making fashion pets for rich people and dog show prices.

because they have uniqe traits. there are dogbreeds for specific type of work. Mixed-breed dogs can sometimes be less predictable and harder to train/work with, people look for specific breeds that fit their profession and lifestyle. Don’t get me wrong, mixed-breed dogs are wonderful, but let’s not demonize breeding. There are good reasons why it was started in the first place.

the problem how i understood is, that we are not only talking about cash money but also money that is in businesses. family owned businesess may then be forced to sell their business to shareholder owned foreign corpos, because they could not afford it due to the tax. that sparked some major fear among voters. the result was not even close, it was 78% No! thats hughe and beyond any left/right worldview, not a single canton voted yes, that alone is a clear indicator that this bill was not very well-thought-out
