That does not make it bad though. Bitcoin is not able to solve all monetary issues nor was it designed to. No monetary system right now solves that issue. This is like saying an EV is bad as it still can speed and kill people without recognizing all the other benefits over gas cars.

Miners do not control the blockchain though.They just offer to verify transactions and maintain the blockchain. They have no control over the price, the algorithm, the supply etc. not saying Monero is not a good choice too.

That really has not been my experience with ChatGPT4+. It is getting very good and catches me off guard daily with it level of understanding. Sure it makes mistakes and it laughably off base at times, but so are we all as we learn about a complex world.

Bitcoin is not about investment any more than Lemmy is. It is about decentralization that unfortunately has been viewed as an investment.

A variety of reasons. Some move around as different days brings different crowds. Some only open when they need money and take a break when they do not. Some go out of business as they were just not good at managing their operations yet their food was amazing. Some get sick. Some just move around the block as they were on someone’s turf. Sure there are other reasons but getting shutdown by the police seems to not really happen here much unless you are in front of a government building or a some wealthy property. Out side of that it is a free for all. At least here in Vietnam.

If they were in Asia, this is normal. The best places pop up and before you get used to it, they are gone.

Since I started using AI in March, it has not stop getting better and better with it seemingly accelerating not decelerating. If we are heading to a plateau, there are no signs of it yet. I am sure there will be plateaus, and maybe we have even had one earlier this year, but with the speed of AI development, it may mean a plateau of months versus the normal years. We will see. Bill has been saying a lot of things these past years that make no sense, unless you look at it from a money/market manipulation perspective.

I agree, but as you pointed out, we already have many tools to solve most of our global issues, but instead we carry on like we like in a scarcity world. I am concerned about the AI disruption as I am not seeing evidence of us really caring for those impacted let alone the millions impacted daily by how the global economy is run. We can fix so many things, but don’t. Heck, even getting rid of day light savings is a cause too far it seems despite overwhelming support.

That is a real crisis on the horizon as the evidence so far is that there is no support for those who get displaced. I am counting down the days till my career is replaced. I am Imagineering a VR Theme Park and am certain that in the years to come you will be able to ask AI to make you one via a prompt and it will customize it to your tastes. When that happens I need to find a new career. Unsure what but I am hopeful that new careers will open up that we cannot foresee today. That or we will all be in a hellscape of which I have positioned myself to weather.
