Dude… Core 2 duo is ddr1, ddr2 and ddr3 🦄🦄🦄

Edit: just checked out the core 2 duo e8400. Not only does it support ddr3 and 2, but also ddr1. So added ddr1

There are many 775 socket boards that support ddr3 and core 2 duo/quad supported ddr2 and 3.

There are even motherboard that support both ddr2 and ddr3 like this gigabyte g41m combo

Edit: damn at least some core 2 duo’s support also ddr1. So core duo supports ddr1, 2 and 3

There are almost no lga 775 boards that have ddr1 support and have core 2 duo as supported cpu. But this ASRock motherboard does support the core 2 duo and ddr1 and ddr2

Everytime I hear something about Plex I become a bit happier with my choice for Emby as media server.

I work at a school and I don’t get up early much. Mostly start at 12. My class starts at 14:30. So weeks I work from 8:00 till 22:00 but that are just 6 or 7 in the year.

Most meetings with colleagues are also in the afternoon. We are not morning people.

They are economically left in there statements and manifest. But on economics and social issues they most of the time vote pretty right wing.

About 45 minutes with car. I mostly choice my own times so almost never drive in “busy”(busy traffic where I live at most add 5 minutes to your commute). As it never soul crushing traffic I don’t really mind.

Some weeks I work 5 days on site from 8:00 till 22:00, but some days I work 2 days on site for 4 hours a day and one day at home. So a extra 1,5 hours a day if I work on site I don’t really mind.

Only thing I would love to change is being able to go with public transport. Most days I can arrive on my work on time. (Even if i need to got up pretty early if I start at 8) But the problem is I can’t get home if I don’t leave before 17:30 from work. That’s mostly not possible. (Or at least I don’t know at the start of the day which time I’m done)

I don’t really care Public transport is a 30 minutes longer commute, or that it is more expensive (my work pays the full ticket price anyway). The problem is I just can’t get home after work.

Just use KDE connect (it’s also available on windows). Just open your file browser and select the last screenshot on your phone. (It mount your phone as removable media)

It’s all local and you don’t have to send any extra info to Microsoft as added bonus.

All this new and fancy stuff is already solved on Linux for a long time and on windows long before Microsoft “invented” it. By great free and open source projects.

The 2 times (living not with my parents anymore) I had now electric power unplanned was of course when it was cold. However the fancy central heating running on gas was also not working. As the main unit also needed electric power.

So I could still cook my food but that’s was it. No heat. But that being said in my entire life we lost power (including as a kid) maybe 5 times and only for a couple of hours. In 33 years

I now have a heat pump and for cooking induction. So in a power outage I need to grab some camping gear. But I will probably survive for a couple of hours without heat.

But if you have regular power outages you and everybody in your country should probably vote and make your voices heard. If you live in a country where most people can afford heat pumps, the government can afford fixing the power grid.
