If he dies before they are able to really get the structural changes in P2025 off the ground, Trump’s death will likely instigate the death of the movement. If it dies after that the P2025 restructuring has happened, won’t matter.

Oh, I agree. I think the amount of energy lost, when Trump dies, will be a huge blow to the MAGA movement. Will it be a coup de grace? I fucking hope so. However, if they get their project 2025 governmental structure into place, I think it will be hard to dethrone the GOP, even without Trump. I also believe that is the true hope behind that platform. They know their cult of personality is on a timer, so they are hoping to get things set-up, where they still have complete control, regardless of how motivated the cult is.
That was only the end of it though. Through most of it, many aspects of the economy were better, for most people. He was just as complicit in why inflation, housing costs, etc. got so bad. However, do you think most people understand how the free money given, mostly under Biden, as a stimulus to the populace, had little effect on the inflation vs financial institutions drowning in oceans of free money, for 20 years? Do you think most people are even aware that was going on? Do you think most of them understand how private equity, and changes in its regulation, caused the housing cost crisis, and not supply being overwhelmed by the demand of immigrants?
I talked to someone I used to do underwriting, for things like mortgages, a few months back. He bought the immigrants buying up all the housing line. He just refused to believe private equity, something he definitely understands, is responsible, regardless of the fact that even those private equity institutions’ data say they are at fault. It is much easier to say “housing unaffordable, close border” than to have to address the massive systemic changes that need to be made.
They disagree I should be allowed to live though
Then it just goes to someone as shitty, but likely much smarter
What about this statement means the people thinking this way aren’t adult children? It seems you are just pointing out cognitively/emotionally immature ways of thinking here.
Literally every ad for the GOP was about how the democrats are going to destroy the country by allowing in foreigners, supporting the LGBTQ community, and supporting women’s primary voting issues. Even when the ad was about a specific thing with none of that involved, at least one of those things would be mentioned.
If you think selling weapons is a maximalist policy, you are very naive.
And the more control you have over the work the more screen time you get. My family has a lot of contractors, and my dad left that to work trades for the government. Before my dad died he spent most of his day on his computer, even though it was his least favorite part, but he was the head of his department. My contractor uncles all spend hours a day on screens, calls, orders, book keeping, meetings, drafting, reading specifications, reading contracts, etc., now that they are the head of businesses that have younger people doing most of the physical work.
those scintillating, jeweled, scuttling crabs are good though.
For a very, very, long time it was considered proper to hit your family, as the man of the house, to keep everyone in order. If the patriarch was hitting you, you needed discipline, this was a god ordained arraignment, so what were you doing against god to deserve this wrath? Domestic violence was crazy high compared to today, as late as the 1990’s. Also drinking rates have fallen greatly, especially since the 18th century.
Being a woman in these romanticized times meant you couldn’t have any sort of credit, you couldn’t hold a bank account, you couldn’t vote, violence towards you, from your family was not criminal. Until the 1900s women couldn’t legally own, or rent, property, except under specific conditions (inheritance, gift from their husband, tenement housing built specifically to house women alone, that sort of thing). Even though it was legalized int he early 1900s, it was also legal to discriminate against women, in that way, until the 1970s, in a lot of places. It was far more common for men to drink, and for men to beat their families, and they had few, to no, legal ways to create independence from their husband. So they were stuck there.
You mean, John Menard?
Doesn’t work, places have tried that. The collection of conditions are not conducive to it, for most people. That’s why it is getting very “handmaid’s tale” in rhetoric from a lot of the rich and powerful.
Yeah, I was never a blue line guy, they are the government, so I can’t just assume they are my buddy, or working for my personal benefit. However, after years of working in a career where I had to interact with police, from all over the place, I now hate police. They see the general public as the enemy, and you should see them the way they see you.
You can shame them, just not for anything they should feel shamed about. Jabs about very facile facets of their masculinity? shamed. Dragged through the ringer because they are rapists? No shame.
pictures of a c-section, vs pictures of a mangled corpse in a car wreck, is an apples to oranges comparison. I think you wouldn’t want to see a surgery, and you are really stretching to make it seem that anyone who would, is a bad person. Pictures of these things are common, lots of people film, and photograph, births. Many people are fine with recordings of their medical procedures, for both personal, and educational reasons.
Just because you don’t like something does not make other people bad for finding interest in it.
They would, then, but that is not now. Right now they are concerned with us not having enough children, because capitalism requires population growth, and, as places become richer, they have fewer children. The most industrialized places are in decline, outside of immigration. So this is where you see the consternation of the rich and powerful.
Already happening. In this region a LOT of manufacturing workers voted for him. Now most of them are looking at significant reductions in compensation because their companies are all rebudgeting to prepare for the tariff proposals the GOP has written. Now they are all mad, though I wonder how many understand that they need to be blaming who they voted for, rather than immigrants, communists, and queer people.
