You’re right. With the numbers presented here, Israel is definitely acting worse right now.
These two groups of people are at war. One of them are using guerrilla terrorist tactics to kill civilians, and the other is using their political sway and superior firepower to commit genocide.
There is no “equally bad”, but if you support the eradication of either side, you are a horrible person in my eyes.
It doesn’t feel like it actually inferred anything from the comment.
“You spoke about computers, so you probably know about computers”
“You express concerns about privacy, so you are likely privacy conscious”
“You said you were 30ish, so you’re maybe 30…ish”
It essentially paraphrased each part of the comment, and gave it back to you like an analysis. Of course, this is ChatGPT, so it’s likely not trained for this sort of thing.

War crimes are being committed on both sides, but one side is in a far better political, economic, and defensive position. Treaties and councils have been written, but if the stronger party decides they want to break those agreements, and suffers no repercussions from doing so (so far as having essentially full support from the US government at one point), what can the smaller group do? Roll over and let their people be extinguished by a callous and racist government?
I do not condone attacks from either side, but saying that Palestine is “suffering the consequences”, while ignoring the actions that led to this attack (which could be seen as Israel suffering their own consequences) is short sighted and cruel.
I’m not sure I understand what is being said here. In a disaster situation, EVs are a risk because infrastructure is impacted? Is the same not true for petrol cars?
The kids who need help might not associate Kutcher with the organisation, but donors and supporters sure as hell will.
At this point, he has written a letter of support, lauding the moral upstanding of a convicted rapist. Any way you slice it, it’s not a good look from a fundraising perspective. Why would I support the anti-sex trafficking group that has a rape apologist as it’s figurehead? The nuance of writing a letter to support a friend who has done terrible things is it’s own murky issue. But from a purely business standpoint, Kutcher is a liability for the moment.
Your example ignores the trajectory of the situation. If Kutcher had supported the rapist, received backlash, and joined the org, it would be an individual taking steps to make better choices. As it stands, he is this organisation to many people (I couldn’t name anyone else involved). His actions reflect directly on the org, and ignoring his actions is not a good look.
Clearly competent moderators have some sort of effect, or these stories would not exist. If self-moderation worked, then the dangerous canning post mentioned in the article wouldn’t have gained any traction.
Without competent moderation, the ability for users to manipulate or derail communities grows. A voting system is entirely subjective, and a bad or dangerous idea can set roots if enough unaware people give it the votes. I am aware that moderation is also subjective, but competent, knowledgeable mods can help guide a community, or protect it from targeted harassment.
Also, they’re the ones with no life who can devote their time to monitoring the community. Most people spend a few minutes at a time visiting a community. That’s not enough time to verify every post in the last 24 hours, and vote for them all accordingly (depending on the size of the community of course),
Then just move to the suburbs where your 100k is worth more… and where the 100k jobs don’t exist… or the commute to the 100k jobs is over an hour each way… dummy
That glimmer of hope is the lure of the anglerfish, waiting to devour the naive millennial.
