The fact that people are using iMessage for group chats is which a weird concept to me.
That’s what discord, WhatsApp and Facebook messenger are for.
If anyone adds my primary text message service number to a group chat they are being blocked. Gross.
It’s more stuff like, does ray tracing and stuff like nvidia broadcast work?
Like I use that to filter all my incoming sound from discord and all the audio coming into my microphone.
It’s the oddball features like that example above where Linux always falls over for me.

If people are going to die if the shit you are designing doesn’t work, or you business is going to loose tons of money, that’s your responsibility to design and implement something that does not have a single point of failure.
Firstly it’s not a Max version.
Second, the Australian airforce and Boeing developed this plane together and have already had it in service for many years with fantastic success and reliability.
I believe the UK RAF also has some in service.
It’s been operated with many of our allies on joint operations and sometimes with observers as they all knew that their AWACS fleets were in pretty desperate need to be replaced and were accessing it.
It is by far the most capable platform of this type, and it’s a ready to go mature design that the countries looking to come on board have already been operating along side and supporting in real operations.

To have a logical settings layout, perform well, be stable
Be fully and easily compatible with most mainstream programs and games without having to screw around too much.
Give me back windows 7, add dx12 support, update the back end with any kernel and scheduler updates, call it windows gamer edition. Then fuck off out of my life Microsoft.
Nobody wants to “use an operating system” we want to run programs and do it efficiently, i feel the vast majority of changes Microsoft has made since windows 7 ended has been to the detriment of that.
I can only hope that now with Vulcan becoming more popular and the rise of steam os on the steam deck that we will start to see native Linux aaa games being a thing.
Almost 40% of most democratic country’s populations would probably agree with most dumb and provocative ideas presented in a poll… especially now days with how partisan everything has become.
That said the Australia/ USA alliance is more important than any particular administration or head of government either our Australian government or the US government.
It’s an alliance of enormous mutual benefit that frankly is not going anywhere.
Australia is an enormous unsinkable aircraft carrier rich in resources, far enough from potential adversaries in the region to provide extremely strong defence in depth in the region. We use common platforms and tactics in battle, and have extensive integrated combat experience.
Perhaps even more important than any of that, it would be politically unacceptable I believe to our populations to turn our back on each other at this point, so many of us have personal friends and family in each other’s country.
We might occasionally have disagreements like any family does, and we might not like everything about each other but that’s how it goes with family. Any other country trying some shit I feel will find out fast that our alliance is stronger than it has ever been.
The US, UK and Australia have a bond forged in the fire of conflict and quenched in blood, anyone who wants to try and fuck with one should probably be ready for a fight with all… not to be overly dramatic.

It has also come out that there is a bug in the instagram app from what I’ve been reading.
This is causing a drastic increase in temperature and battery use on all iOS devices running ios17.
This could very well just be some app code bug that is caught in a processing loop.
It also explains why some people are seeing this and others are not, as not everyone is sitting on instagram while their phone is on charge.
After several hours of unventilated and insulated continuous unmoving and firm contact… definitely at risk of first degree burns here.

46c is not that hot at all, that’s like half as hot as a cup of coffee.
It’s probably not ideal… but also not at all new and about the same as my S22 ultra hits under load or when charging which runs far cooler than my previous pixel 7 which would actively overheat if you tried to run maps while charging it on a warm day, to the point it would force the screen to min brightness after about 30min.

That is absolutely NOT “hot”or “overheating” for a piece of tech under stress.
The phone housing is the heat sync, and the phone is more powerful than many people’s few year old laptops.
Not to defend apple but this is just trying to sensationalise and farm clicks, my pixel 7 used to get way hotter doing just normal tasks to the point I was getting overheat warnings and the screen would shut off.
Now if it was more like 55c I could see that being an issue at least from a comfort standpoint.
On top of this, pointing a thermal camera as an emissive surface like glass… not the most accurate way to actually get a temperature reading, they should have used a thermal couple… but I’m guessing that would have showed an even less exciting click bait number.

Most of these hacks I’ve seen seem to have long been patched out.
I still feel iPhones are largely more secure overall even if simply because on average I’m pretty confident the fleet of iPhones in use are using much more up to date software than android devices.
