Miracast and Chromecast are different. Miracast is the open standard while Chromecast is Google’s proprietary casting protocol.
Roku supports both Miracast and AirPlay, but I don’t think it supports Chromecast.
Despite not being easy to find, most news sites still have RSS feeds. They are great for just getting the news from sources I trust instead of big tech algorithm recommend blogspam. It is also possible to get RSS feeds from subreddits and Mastodon.

It’s not about the color. It’s about not destroying photo and video quality or breaking messages into multiple parts and sending them out of order.
I have not experienced that, but have you tried the Skip silence in audio feature? It does a good job removing pauses in audio which would hopefully solve the problem you are experiencing.

Get a dedicated streaming device like an Apple TV or Roku that can be swapped or upgraded independent of the TV.
I’m very careful with my phones, but I still use screen protectors for added protection. It costs less than $10 for a decent tempered glass screen protector. I find tiny micro scratches from everyday use annoying, so it’s worth it to me.
I would stick with one of the open source apps. Thunder is my favorite, but Voyager and Eternity are good as well.

Same. It may lack encryption that many look for, but I have accepted that email is too old to ever be truly secure. Most email is either coming from, or going to services provided by big tech companies anyway. I prefer an open, fully standards compliant email service over a locked down service that provides minimal additional security.
Firefox is part of the for-profit Mozilla Corporation. Donations go to the nonprofit Mozilla Foundation. Even though Mozilla Corporation is owned by Mozilla Foundation, donations cannot be transferred to it since it is still legally a for-profit business. The funds donated to Mozilla Foundation are used for advocacy work.

Even as a primarily Android user, I agree. I have tried most music streaming services at this point and Apple Music has been the best for helping me discover music. Most others play it too safe with the algorithm and only play music I already like.
Another plus is Apple Music is one of the last remaining music platforms that is not trying to shove podcasts down my throat.
Those donations cannot be used for Firefox development due to the structure of Mozilla.
They switched to USB-C last year with the iPhone 15.
