Apple TV is a bit pricey, but at least it’s ad-free. Connect it to a modern TV without internet access, stream your Jellyfin (or Plex) media via Infuse and you are good to go.

What works best for me is simply moving the cursor quickly in a circle. On a higher refresh display, you’ll see much more “ghost” cursors at the same time.

My guess is it was an actual gif that exploited some flaw in how the OS handled gifs and thus was able to execute code.
