5·10 months agoThat would make some sense, but I’m doubtful about the bullet caliber. I’ve seen what 30-06 does to large game, and it very rarely stops even when hitting bone. Especially if he was shot with a hunting round (which are designed to flare out and dump energy) we would have seen a truly massive exit wound.
You know, I was trying to come up with a well reasoned argument as to why you’re wrong, but I realized that you had no intention to actually discuss. You came here to clutch your pearls and cry “so much for the tolerant left, they’re the real bad guys!”
So instead, fuck you.
“Won’t someone think of the dead white nationalist? Sure, he was racist, hateful, and spread nothing but misinformation and pain, but he was also a human. Therefore you should only feel sorry for him.” Fuck that. Do I think anyone should be killed for their beliefs? No. Am I required to feel sorry because his chickens came home to roost at a tremendously ironic time? Also no.
I mean, he is demonstrably dead, unless you’ve got some info that the rest of us don’t. He can have thoughts and prayers for all the good it will do him.
I’ve found a good smack tends to get the sensors to calm down.

1·1 year agoNah man, that’s not the purpose of unrestrained capitalism. The point is to get big enough that you can buy out all the competition, then make your product cheaper and cheaper once there’s no one to compete against. It’s a bit like an economical algae bloom.

1·1 year agoHey, so that quote isn’t from Voltaire, it’s from noted white nationalist and convicted pedofile Kevin Alfred Strom. I get the sentiment behind why you posted it, but in its full context the meaning is pretty gross.

I would argue that in a lot of cases compassionate use policies are a good thing. I have a distant relative who was part of the study of the use of lung surfactant for premature infants. It was so effective that they cut the testing short to roll it out nation wide and has saved thousands and thousands of lives.
I’m not saying I trust pharmaceutical companies to not be bastards the vast majority of the time, but sometimes they do the right thing.
