Time to make another account then?
since when is war an internal affair?
They weren’t their “normal lives”. People were affected by the rule of the nazi party since it very quickly installed a new social order in the country. We shouldn’t think that the move of the country towards violent totalitarianism happened without people noticing.
But just like now, the future wasn’t obvious. If you could have convinced people in 1932 that the nazi party world start WW2, they wouldn’t have voted for it. If you could have convinced them in 1935 that not only will they be anther world war, but their nation would try and almost succeed in exterminating various peoples from their own country, people world have violently rebelled and deposed the nazis, but that wasn’t obvious. It wasn’t obvious even in 1938 - “peace for our time”, eh? So people did grudgingly accepted what was happening while completely misunderstanding the seriousness of the situation.
There is no way around this. It will happen again and again and there is no way to prevent it because this shift from a strong democracy to authoritarianism is so impossible to believe that people will rather go by their preconceptions rather than the evidence in front of them and simply refuse to think something like this can actually happen.
This is why it isn’t reasonable to expect the people to simply take to the streets. We need leadership
that would likely turn on him in a heart beat.
Again, what happens to him personally or to Facebook as a company is irrelevant when it comes to how our lives are affected. The regulation of social platforms is good for society regardless of the efect regulation has on the owners or the companies owning the platforms.
Your argument is built around the wrong desirable outcome.
A minority that probably hates his guts.
How is this relevant to us? The subject here is about the platform’s influence on society, not of Zuckerberg.
Google AI suggested you put glue on your pizza because a troll said it on Reddit once…
Genuine question: do you know that’s what happened? This type of implementation can suggest things like this without it having to be in the training data in that format.
Is it a scam? How does it work?
That’s not a Linux thing. It’s just whatever desktop shell you chose to use and various shells behave in various ways. The reason this might be safer in most Linux distros is that you’re discouraged from executing things under a privileged user which means that malware can’t make significant changest to your system easily. If you do the same in windows, you’d be just as safe.
Is this some AI generated answer? I refuse to think a person can talk like that.
The “obviously” comes from the article which states that Microsoft allows uninstallilng software which obviously means they always could do that. They just didn’t want to allow users to do it.
That’s the point. Obviously you can uninstall any windows application too, it’s just that Microsoft doesn’t want you to.
That would explain the targeted scams I’ve been subjected to which seem to have been coming from old colleagues
You made me check, the cheapest I can buy one here is 70k EUR for the EQA:
EQA is the name of the new entry-level model to the all-electric world of Mercedes-EQ vehicles.
What a bargain for an entry level model
Mercedes: the EV market is challenging at the moment.
Also mercedes: pay 100k for this car with limited autonomy and dubious software in early beta stages…
People who keep paying are assholes
it’s excellent in the hands of those who have enough experience and understanding of concerns at all levels to use it but they’re generally either used by people without that experience
You’re just saying that skilled people can do stuff better than unskilled people. This is hardly a software engineering issue. It is common in all aspects of life
The difference with software engineering is that the field is still relatively young enough to not have figured out a working model or sets of working models (unlike farming, for example, or finance). This field is realistically 30 years old during which it continuously evolves and redefines itself so it’s still not going to produce good working models.
Agile, since you picked on it, is very difficult to implement because it specifically relies on engineering figuring out how to work and how to deliver. It’s really not a model at all. It’s just a set of guidelines meant to create the environment in which the figuring out happens. It’s no wonder that it only works when people have the ability to figure it out.
Bad things can happen but that’s why you build disaster recovery into the infrastructure. Especially with a compqny as big as Toyota, you can’t have a single point of failure like this. They produce over 13,000 cars per day. This failure cost them close to 300,000,000 dollars just in cars.
Serverless just means that the user doesn’t manage the capacity by themselves. This scenario can happen easily if the serverless provider is as incompetent as the Toyota admins.
That’s what I was saying too. The market has vanished because there is no supply
how would they know it’s you? Don’t use your personal email (on any social network), use VPN(on any social network), don’t use their app- just use the browser (on any social network).
