I’ve sometimes described it the same as when someone goes skydiving and can’t jump out. It’s that same level of subconscious block, but to seemly mundane things (at least in my experience)

“Your grant has been rejected on the grounds of containing woke “trans” agenda.”

Remember doing that in grade 6. Felt like absolute heresy putting metal in the microwave (and a lot of kids reacted accordingly)
