Yes, the quality of life is certainly better not being able to afford a home with two working couples and being forced to go into debt for decades… That’s why no one ever has any beef with boomers who regurgitate things like your comment.

The irony being how much the standard quality of life has dropped compared to the people seen working in this photo. At some point, expect to be just another pest barely tolerated within the urban environment. For many homeless, that’s what they already are.
I should have opened the article, that’s a lot less intrusive than what I thought. If this is the extent of it, and frankly considering that Google let’s you opt out of personalized tracking when many sites have begun forcing them onto users and forcing me to constantly clear their cookies, that makes me a lot less mad with them.
Maybe Elon is getting to me, but … what compels assholes like this to say things like this and not do it themselves? I guess they need to keep away from actually doing it so that they can later claim they never were the ones to do it and that their joke statement was taken out of context.
Why not both? CIA’s files probably focus more on his foreign dealings, the NSA’s more on his national dealings.
That article doesn’t really indicate that one person was the target, nor does making 3000 pagers or whatever they were into bombs. I find it more likely that the Iranian delegation representative was just meeting with Hezbollah at the time or received one of their pagers to stay in communication. Nothing in the articles you link suggests this was done just to target them, just that they were affected.
Hezbollah is over that-a-way, buddy.
I wonder what made their leadership continue to escalate into increasingly bullshit decisions. What happens if I need to pause because I need my PC to be quiet so I can address something and still an ad suddenly starts playing, completely interrupting what I wanted to address in a completely intrusive way? I’ll tell you what happens, I’ll either find some way to disable that from happening, switch to a service that doesn’t do it if I can, or just begin avoiding it all together.
Brilliant planing, YouTube. Whoever has been left as its leadership is a dumbass.
I sort of feel like the CIA should already have a file on him filed to the brim with juicy nuggets they haven’t really been able to act on until now.
Don’t vote like your life depends on it, vote because your way of life depends on it.
You could tell Israel did it by the wanton disregard of civilian casualties and the lack of a global governmental backlash against the act.
What I’m surprised is that were able to get them to believe the propaganda that pagers would be a much more secure communication medium.
Fucking commies, taking our tea and throwing it overboard just because they didn’t want to pay taxes. We should send an armada to put them all in jail.
He must have been disgusted, he’s basically linking to the competition instead of his own homegrown AI propaganda machine.
So I guess the GQP has found something better than gerrymandering.
Even if democrats win, there’s the very real danger afterwards that nothing is able to be changed just as it has not been able to under Biden, that the Supreme Court can continue to act outside of laws and ethics, that there continues to be no penalty for disinformation and bribes, that the voting system continues to be slanted towards one side, that billionaires continue buying up and manipulating what’s reported in key states, that ignorance and bigotry continues to worsen and become more extreme, that key federal agencies are moved to some of the most bigoted and politically slanted states…
I disagree, not really an unpopular opinion.
There’s no elected leader, but there’s an implicit one: the one organizing it, who might just give you the cold shoulder for any number of reasons. Anarchism is best defined in Wikipedia, and isn’t really limited to “small scales”. It is most validated when it is a movement existing within authoritarian states, out of necessity, which is why Revolutionary Action joined into the Revolutionary Committee among other groups, which is what you are referring to.
By itself and out of context, and specially when it manifests in societies that are actually functional, democratic, and with adequate social policies, I favor my own definition, but it can’t really be defined practically and objectively without context. “No (to your Russian) rules except the ones I agree with (Ukrainian national stability and identity), otherwise GFY” sprinkled with a heavy dose of personal charisma is what Revolutionary Action is doing to Russia as it attempts to annex Ukraine, thanks for the example.
I’ll toss it when I toss my plastic tupperware. The problem is re-usability, not what it’s made out of. SD card gets tossed out, doesn’t matter what it is made out of, it’s going to pollute.
What a downvote Nancy.
A VPN is just essentially a change in ISP.
Medical advances do not matter if they make you bankrupt or you cannot get access to them. Living a longer life with worse power of acquisition is both a load for society and a drain on their longterm quality of life (nevermind how it depends on a system of infinitely increasing population growth). Women voting and blacks riding in the back of buses is a US thing, one that is regressing. Videogames are an improvement on the quality of entertainment, if you are going to judge that as quality of life put yourself in a tube and live in VR, Now we export black lung to raw goods providers in China and Africa.
You’ve lost a huge amount of power of acquisition, but at least even though those things you can acquire are on the cheaper side, there’s more and newer options to choose from. The loss of those jobs have consequences, even if they bring advancement.
