  • It’s been years and I have Memory Impairment so I’m not sure but I think part of the issue with syncing was that we had a ‘family’ database which made for multiple devices and several people needing to sync that while frustrating at times was OK, until we had an episode of data loss that just killed it for us. Enpass had built in sync, a nicer UI, more features and jut more cohesive across devices.

But again, my memory is very fuzzy and it’s worth looking into again because as good as Enpass is, it’s not open source.

  • I used to use Keepass (thanks person who said keep ass, I can’t not see that now) for many years but started to get frustrated with stuff not syncing properly and a few other reasons I can’t remember anymore. But I think I’ll have to give it a go again. I’ve been using Enpass for a number of years and it’s been good but I’ve never liked that it’s closed source.

  • Yep, I used the add ons for many many years. But it’s the only explanation I have. I’m not a content creator so I’m not worried about the tiny number of videos I have uploaded, almost all of which aren’t listed anyway (and I don’t think mot people would consider unlisted videos, “Is my aquarium pump supposed to be making this sound?” or “Here’s how you use a tap adapter to attach a hose to a shower mixer” to be controversial lol).

I really don’t know how to explain it. One day it was all good, the next day my comments couldn’t be seen anymore.

And no I’m not someone who cries that I never make arsehole comments but actually does. I’m only ever respectful and I have zero interest in contributing to outrage circlejerks or drama.

So all I have left that Google wouldn’t like is my use of those add ons 🤷🏻‍♀️

EDIT: Maybe my sin was commenting on Second Thought videos and being anti-capitalist and anti-Google 😅✌️

  • My littlest person knows I deal with chronic pain and sometimes on my bad days when I’m bemoaning my back, she’ll come up and start rubbing my back in a very serious and professional way. It does absolutely nothing perceptible physically but it lights up my day so I always make sure to thank her for the excellent massage. She always replies in an equally professional way that I’m welcome. 🥰

  • Some people still do raise them for food 🙂

When you’ve got not fridge and the environment isn’t always condusive to curing and preserving meat, it’s very handy to raise an animal that’s a smaller amount of meat (say one meal) than something like a goat, pig, chicken or cow.

They breed easily and rapidly, eat scraps and vegetation that humans normally don’t. So folks keep a herd of Guinea pigs and just slaughter whatever they need for a meal.

It’s very clever and much more environmentally friendly than clearing forest for larger animals.

  • Already married (more than a decade). Nice home (but renting). Disabled so can’t work but that’s OK, we make the best of it. We don’t celebrate Christmas but I can imagine Winter Solstice or Matariki. Kids are almost asleep, so close enough. My spouse and I snuggle like this most nights. Holy shit, it’s snowing?! It doesn’t snow here so I’m simultaneously delighted for a once in a lifetime snowfall but also disturbed that it’s snowing… We homeschool, what day of the week is it again? The hardwork is indeed worth it.

    Still 7/10 ain’t bad 😅

Every day is ‘making it’ though and will be for the rest of our lives since life is ever changing and ever evolving. Find hygge and gratitude every day and you’ll realise that you don’t need to achieve some fake “made it” state because you already have 💜
