if you can work at 14, you should be able to vote too
I wonder, what differentiates us from the teens who’d just look at memes and nothing else?
I did a decent amount of learning as a teen. I’d have done more if not for the depression
we have cops in schools “to protect students” but all they ever do is just arrest mostly black kids for offenses that used to just get you sent to the principal’s office, and when the big bad shooter does show up the school cop just runs away and coplovers defend them saying “they have no duty to protect” and “it was dangerous”
america is a sick joke
You really think people are gonna go down to the basement in DC and reason.the original documents and failure to read those is how we lose our rights? Stuff like the patriot act are bigger threats
that’s not at all how it’s taught in the US
Funny how both the subject and your analogy happen to be things I recall as useless and traumatic and would gladly part with
Same here, like disability bad. It was pure hell and I activly despise cursive. I’m glad I haver had to use it
Nope, it.won’t be accepted unless your teacher was very old. You either handwrite in print or for the most part these days submit a printed out or digitally submitted copy
Also whatever’s taught in schools is mandatory. You can’t just skip cursive lessons if you don’t want to bother
America’s institutions writ large are dysfunctional and falling apart at the seams. Part of the rot is outdated pratices that are continuing seemingly only because the very elderly exclusively tasked with running things insist on them out of pure tradition and nothing else. Cursive is seen in this light by many people, me included, since it’s outdated and useless and for some mildly traumatic
Everything I write with a pen or pencil uses unconnected letters and I don’t ever.think about joining letters up unless someone unearths elementary school era trauma
You forgot that kids are taught how to write before they’re forced Into cursive hell
Same here. I eventually ended up with disability accommodations for handwriting since my fine motor skills suck so bad I literally can’t legibility write to save my life
I just write really fast and messy and I’ve never had a problem.
Some States are ditching cursive requirements but it’s recent, probably because anyone old enough to be in government office is old enough to still like cursive
Seems like we all had the same experience
People didn’t bother to vote once the fix was in. We learned in 2016 what was up
