If these terrible people are elected and do not take the oath of office, then presumably the 25th amendment takes effect, and a new VP is appointed by the president, or the VP elect ascends to President if the presidency is vacant.

The issue isn’t really people on the fence for Trump or Harris but mainly with generating turnout. After Biden’s poor debate performance, people didn’t change their mind and decide to vote for Trump, they became apathetic and maybe wouldn’t show up to vote.

Harris doesn’t need to persuade people to abandon Trump, she needs to get people excited to show up to vote.

Right, there were 52 other Republican senators who could have had some spine and voted for their country over their party, but didn’t. If anyone should be singled out for being at fault, it’s Mitch McConnell, who voted against Trump’s second impeachment conviction, even though he stated “There’s no question that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day”. As the senate majority leader, he could have whipped the other Republicans to stand up to Trump, but didn’t, effectively finalizing handing the party over to Trump.

Mitt Romney was literally the only Republican senator who voted to remove Trump for both impeachment trials. Not sure what you’re referring to but all the other Republicans voting party over country are to blame.

Regardless of the altercation with the employee, is there no enforcement in that Section 60 rule which prohibits political campaigning? Why even have that if it’s not enforced? Seems like this is just enabling a rabid base to be the attack dogs for an unhinged person running for president.
