There should be some kind of “accountability score” for politicians, managed by an independent body, that will track all their promises and follow up with whether they, at least tried, to fulfill them. So that voters will be able to refer to it, before they reelect the same do-nothing again and again…
How long until western media will tell that gunmen were under stress of Israel war in Gaza strip?
Adjusted for inflation Palestine had been given 71 billion USD in international aid over the years, so saying “Palestine has been starved of money” is not an understatement but a blatant lie.
If you’d say Palestinian people starved of money I’d probably agree: as their corrupt leaders stole most of those funds, and used the rest to fund and enable terror activities as well as children indoctrination in hatred
By the way

Likud lawmaker Eliyahu Revivo protested that Irish Ambassador Sonya McGuinness did not come to the Knesset discussion on Hamas’ crimes against women, even though she was invited “The Irish ambassador got lost. Someone will inform us when he finds her,” he scolded - referring to the outrageous statement of Irish Prime Minister Leo Vardakar
But Leo Varadkar outdone himself there. “Lost and found”???
Strange that these articles don’t mention that almost no hostages are released “as-is” - for each Israeli hostage, 3 convicted prisoners (women and under 19y.o. “children”) had to be released by Israel.
Their crimes include shooting and stabbing attacks, car rammings, and at least one case of explosive-car-rigging…
The only exception are 12-16 Thai and Philippinian foreign nationals, which were actually released after being held hostage illegally for almost 50 days.
This just few weeks after UN puts Iran to chair Human Rights Council Social Forum
Still unbelievable the far left in USA seeing countries like Cuba and North Korea, but believing that socialism/communism can really work for good of the people.
It’s crazy what’s been going on there, is there a regional power nearby that could step in and protect the civilians?
Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan dismissed the latest announcement, saying “the Israelis said there was a command and control center, which means that the matter is greater than just a tunnel.”
Didn’t they have almost a month to clear up the place, and seal off the tunnel entrances, before the first IDF land troops entered the hospital premises?
Let’s see how it’s turned around to be Israel’s fault somehow…
Hamas Official Ayman Shanaa: The Zionists Are Carrying Out A ‘Blatant Attack On Civilians’ – They Must Be Stopped; On October 7 We Exercised Our ‘Legitimate Right’ To Liberate Our Land And We Are Willing To Pay The Price
Yep, as a place where:
According to the UN, over 150,000 people have been killed in Yemen (From wikipedia)
They should really calm the fuck down
Videos released by Hamas show ppl in civilian clothing launch Mortars to Israeli territories, so can’t really rely on uniforms.
From one of your previous comments here on Lemmy:
We can twist the truth all we want but Hamas aren’t blanket terrorists (and I quite dislike them and their dumb strategy).
To another lemmy user, you seem to support Hamas, organization whose charter is to make sure Israel is destroyed, and employs barbaric methods, while disregarding any concern for Palestinian lives…
It would be just and humane. The fact it doesn’t happen, just proves that the mass protests we see in recent weeks are driven by hate for Jews and not care for Palestinians.
Wonder if the polls collected info on race/ethnicity of the perpetrators…
While on the other side it can come to absurd like this:
Hen Mazzig, an ex-IDF soldier
And in Israeli academy (!)
