Gotta cash out before all the “value” disintegrates…
Gotta cash out before all the “value” disintegrates…
You know how much insurance costs on a Ferrari?
…/s. Any Replacements fans out there?
Pre-legislating from the bench. Why don’t we just get rid of the legislative branch and let the judicial branch do whatever it wants? ( …/s)
We used to call them Ag-Nags (AGNG’s)… all gear, no game. It was a derogatory term, but it was more reserved for the type of person that would go buy the best gear and never invest the time to learn how to use it or why it had value other than the sticker price.
Go out and learn something new. Enjoy something new. If you have money to buy gear, that’s fine… but know that most people that pioneered whatever sport/hobby your delving into did a lot more with a lot less. Enjoy it for what it is and worry about the gear less… sometimes the squeeze makes the juice that much better.
Didn’t the Kroger CEO just testify that they raised prices above inflation rates because they could, based on supply and demand?
By pointing out high food costs over the last few years, isn’t he saying that unchecked, free-market capitalism is causing the drastic rise in food prices and (he isn’t saying this part) that regulation is what will bring them back down? After all, if you can charge more for a product because of supply/demand, capitalism dictates that is the correct pricing strategy.
Is this an anti-democrat rant or an anti-capitalism rant?
Run this quick experiment for me.
Hold your toothbrush/phone/anything on your bathroom counter above the toilet, with the lid open, then drop it. Repeat the experiment with the lid closed.
Which one offered a more preferential result?
‘Hardly a difference’ and ‘no difference at all’ matters when it comes to ingesting doo doo particles. I opt for the absolute least amount possible… preferably none.
30,000 / (365*4) = 20.548
More than 20 per day, everyday… for 4 years. That’s more than 1 per hour if you exclude the hours he was sleeping. And factoring in all his time playing golf instead of working, he pretty much didn’t say anything that wasn’t a lie.
That only really works if there are funds to pay for it. These firefighters are making $15 (per the article) for doing hot, labor-intensive work in dangerous environment and conditions. It’s hard to get recruitment numbers up for work like that without good pay. Bonuses can help, but it doesn’t sound like they are paying enough to attract the labor they need.
The article also says retention is hard and one of their biggest problems is the lack of ‘experienced’ firefighters. It’s definitely going to be tough to keep people coming back at pay rates that are less than what minimum wage would be if it had kept up with inflation.
… well, yeah… but symptoms can kill you, too.
Article is paywalled. Is this an OTA update or a true recall where you have to take the vehicle in?
There really needs to be a differentiation. I’ve had a Tesla for years and seen about a dozen articles about recalls, but have never had a hardware issue. All of the software issues are updated automatically when I’m on a Wi-Fi network and are usually done way before I hear about the “recall”.
If I need to take my car in for a hardware issue, I want to know as soon as possible.
I don’t get their arguement. The federal govt can’t tell them they aren’t allowed to print or report on something… and they aren’t. The govt is just warning the citizenry that the information being reported on is funded by foreign interest and contains biased or non-factual information.
They are specifically not interfering with freedom of the press by letting these media outlets publish whatever they want. That doesn’t means they don’t get to have an opinion and definitely doesn’t mean they don’t have a responsibility to help protect the nation’s citizenry.
People have the misunderstanding that the 1st amendment means you can say anything you want without consequence. The govt can’t stop you from saying something, but you are still accountable for the things you say in the marketplace. The govt is allowed to say you are full of shit and the marketplace can decide if they believe you or them.
Well, that and gerrymandering…
My pops is super conservative and he finally came around to thinking trump is a grifter and criminal. Fox went a long way (or all the way and then some) towards discrediting themselves within the journalism community, but they still have a lot of boomers that are addicted to the outrage they spew.
I don’t think they are trying to appeal to their audience that is closer to center. I think they realize they can’t support open fascism and come out the other side if it fails.
Why would I close my eyes? I’m driving?
Most of the controls I need to operate while I’m driving are on the edge of the screen and you can feel the edge to know where to touch.
But I don’t have a problem glancing at the screen for a half second to know for sure where the control is. Just like you glance at your rear view or side view mirrors and take your eyes off the road for a fraction of a second.
If you can’t use a use a touch screen, do you not check your mirrors? It’s not that complicated.
This is a you problem that is either incompetence or you trying to find something to bitch about because you don’t like new shit. Go shake your fist at the sky and tell the kids to get off your lawn.
The physical feedback is your finger touching the screen. If it’s a skill you can’t learn, you should stick to old cars with outdated technology. Everyone isn’t capable of keeping up with technology. It’s fine.
Sounds like whoever drives you around is as incompetent as you are at managing their driving with new technology. You should find people with more coordination to drive you around.
I must be lucky, cuz I’ve had an ev for 4 years and the only issue I had was when I was rear ended by a person in a big ass truck that couldn’t stop in time to not smash the back end of my ride.
Literally no issues but changing the wiper blades once.
I don’t really understand this. The republican position is clearly pro-Israeli, anti-Palestinian. What are they hoping to achieve by destabilizing Biden?
I’m not a Biden fan, but he is clearly less detrimental to their position that the alternative…
You have a choice. Use their service with the shitty ads or find something else to do.
It sucks, but that’s what you’ve got.
It also says the man is prone and restrained where the image clearly shows he is lying in a supine and restrained position.
