I’m Norway, and yeah, I’m sure there are places that don’t abide by the law. But, I’m quite certain the kind of monitoring Tesla appears to be doing would be national news in a hurry, and something that would be cracked down on.

Holy shit. I sometimes forget just how grateful I am to not live where it’s possible/legal to treat people like this.
Compared to their wooden counterparts, windjammers may not be quite as elegant, but I find some of them quite attractive. E.g. Christian Radich.
That ship, btw, was the star in the 1958 film Windjammer. Shot in Cinemiracle, it is well worth a watch.
Aaah, Dr. Fünke, the world’s first analrapist.
Would that be because of creasing issues, or are there other practical differences?
And an ounce is nowhere close to a decimeter!
Doh, two communities, but none for us who need it explained like we’re four. /s
Hahaha, I had almost forgotten how good that face is. The eyes, the lip, the ears… perfection.
Commercial jet fuel does not contain lead, though, thank god.
Lead fuel is still used in many piston engine aircraft, so try not to live near a small private plane airport.
The rotor diameter alone is 236 meters.
Don’t think so, can’t recall seeing one. The flap is mechanically lifted when a tape is ejected, and I suppose a flap with an integrated display would be significantly heavier, increasing wear and tear on the mechanism, and then there’s potentially the issue of the cassettes scratching the display to shit.
I took a tour in June of 1980. Great ship. Fun to see an old sailing vessel up close.
It’s a long name but, judging from the photo, it’s a very descriptive and accurate name.
Haha, I had to go back and watch that one again.
After he says “our army manned the air” it for a second could seem like he realized his mistake, then he doubles down and talks about how “it took over the airports”.
Uff, I watched Threads just as there was a “no to nuclear weapons” campaign going on in Norway (1986’ish), so the threat of nuclear war felt very real, to 12 year old me. So yeah, that movie left a mark.
Why do you think you space out? It doesn’t happen to me often, but when it does it’s usually because my surroundings aren’t very interesting, and my own train of thought is far more engaging. Or maybe I’m exhausted and don’t have the energy to stay engaged.
There’s so much slamming these days. Five years ago we slammed doors, now everything and everyone is being slammed.
I just picked that up.
More evidence he’s a challenged 5 year old trapped in an old man’s body.
Trump isn’t reliable?! Who would’ve thought…
I’d be curious to see the dish install. It’s hard to imagine how someone would think it’d go unnoticed, on a warship, no less.
