There can certainly be beauty, but can there be art without an artist?
Turning women into baby factories very much seems to be part of the political agenda of some people.
Mmmh yes, that’s clearly a Cerulean phalloid.
Sure, but I think Venerable Jorge would have 100% approved of copyright laws and violently enforcing them, somehow.
I used to be on Demonoid and some other JAV trackers but they shut down and I’m too lazy to bother with waiting to join another. Never really was into music enough to track (hah!) a private tracker and honestly I think it’s not in the spirit of torrents. But I appreciate the recommendations nonetheless :)
Meanwhile my torrent of Thee Michelle Gun Elephant is stuck at 31.9% because that’s all that’s available.
Story of my life with torrents, really. I just want the old and obscure, the stuff you can’t find anymore. But it always seems to be all about the latest popular shit, sadly.
That’s what I’ve been calling it for years, funnily. Like, I don’t practice meditation in general, but just letting time pass, chilling out, not focusing on anything to get into a state of mind that lets time flow faster, to me, has always been meditation.
I’m kinda laughing reading about this whole “raw dogging” thing. What a ridiculously macho way of talking about it.
I suppose they could call it “sitting to attention”, maybe? Like a palace guard you know? If they wanted to sound more macho without actually sounding like a creep.
Doesn’t sound too weird to me. In my experience, devs always focus too much on positive / correct inputs, as they want things to work. Which is why you need testers that will catch all the weird crazy ways people can break things. Testers shouldn’t even see the code of it can’t handle nominal cases.
And I bet it was all filler content and shitty roaming monster encounters. Open world design has gone too far!
Well, you could do like many US people and visit Ireland, I suppose :)
For real. Even just talking to your fellow coding monkeys helps. It’s ironic that for example here in France, despite all our workers rights and revolutionary tradition, speaking about your salary is still a social faux-pas. And who benefits? Certainly not us.
The OGs are. The new trainees ain’t.
Which makes sense, but they are still being seriously taken advantage of.
That’s because the COBOL OGs are retired/ing and the industry has been training young people telling them “yeah, sorry, this is all we can pay you”. Here in Europe, they’ll take unemployed people from a different industry, put them on a training course, and bang! you’ve got a grateful new dev who doesn’t know how much they are worth.
You just gotta keep spreading the message. I keep happily sharing my salary, especially with younger, less experienced devs, so we can all win better.
Me right now, discovering that our archives data have file sizes… sometimes in bytes, sometimes in kilobytes. I found some pattern this morning thinking I could know which was which, then the pattern collapsed at some date in the past.
Joy.
Grandad confused the left foot and the right foot again when backing up from his parking spot ?
Well, it’s that or Times New Roman everywhere!
You joke but I bet font embedding in webpages is like a big open door for hackers to get into your machine.
Oh, good point! Nodding with the chin is different from nodding with the… forehead I guess.
I thought that was the joke, but then I noticed he’s not on the mat. And then the comment about the size of the mat!
