This is the way

This is the way

This is good advice, but do kinda worry about the money. Just don’t obsess about the money. Save what you can without sacrificing too much. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. Talk to a financial advisor that you trust ideally one that answers the question “are you a fiduciary” with a straight up “yes” anything else they aren’t one and fuck em. Work out a plan and find what’s realistic to accomplish, and how to get there. Start that today. Not tomorrow. Investments and savings work on time not just your deposits, and every 5 years you wait you double your contributions to stay at the same level of 5 years before. Be it $50 a week or $500k a year there’s no such thing as too little if that’s what you got. Also max whatever your explorer match is on the 401k. It’s free money basically. There is so much more but the truth is none of us are likely qualified to answer this your your situation or even in general.
But yes have fun. Live for the moment. Take time off. Spend time with your family and friends. No one will remember you for your dedication to the grind, but perhaps they would be filled with resentment.

Sick af. Been working on a little something myself recently although new job has me going crazy. Working on a semi custom image for older nvidia devices. That’s all I have on hand right now but plan to expand. Debating on android aosp or ububtu. Only issue is widevine. Along with instructions to neuter the tv.

I am a 100% FOSS boy-oh. Down with corpo greed!

I am sad it’s required for any level of privacy and sovereignty

I have two phones which is only because I wouldn’t be upset if this phone was stolen or lost or broken unlike my main phone. My travel phone is an older and cheap Google pixel phone on which I installed Graphene. I use it regularly to read books from my local library. I do not bring it with me anywhere other than travel. On this phone I also:
I have had issues in the past with TSA and my phone with a “random” search. They requested I unlock my phone. I did not, and requested a warrant and will not speak more than my rights and that I will only speak through legal counsel should they be able to produce a warrant. They searched me and my belongings over the course of a few hours. They can eat my ass.
In addition all of my personal machines including my steam deck and my laptop are also encrypted and secured using FOSS software including Linux as the OS. I have nothing to hide, but I’m also smart enough to not provide them with anything they could twist out of context or use against me.

For as long as it is an LLM I will not call it intelligence for it does not think. It’s an approximation or an estimate at best. While capable this is a major hurdle these companies will face to replace skilled workers. We are a generation at least and a ways off from general intelligence, and not algorithmic output for a given input (idempotency).
I do however agree that we would remain informed about the ever changing world around us; this however, is until reviewed by an unbiased third party in masse a marketing document. I will be taking it with a grain of salt, but will take it as an improvement over the prior versions.
Now with that out of the way… interesting. I will be watching this progress, but am far less optimistic in this being as capable as they are suggesting. It’s more than likely another Mythos hype attempt that is not revolutionary, but a nice addition to existing systems or augments to staff. Now if we assume its 100% as capable as this suggests then we are in for a ride.

Maybe they meant they would not negotiate because they themselves are the terrorists?

It’s better than many US cars yeah, but not most ICE cars currently on the road today. Most ICE vehicles can have a vast majority of their internal components replaced with a stop to advanced auto parts or a specialist store to buy things like an ECU. Not with Tesla however or pretty much any EV we can get here. So for EV cars here yeah that’s absolutely better than any we have here.

Right? These cunts love to tell us of the benefits of capitalism and the free market such as lower prices from competition driving the market, but then they cut off said competition that is not in their price fixing enshitification club. Can’t wait for them to tell us we do not own the vehicles we purchase because the software on them is a license. Basically like a mobile phone or a console.

They are in the way that you can purchase the parts for them from sources including the manufacturer, but also third parties. Until I have that I will not be buying EV in the US. If that expands to ICE vehicles then I will not purchase those either.

Been working flawless for me for many years now. Although I could see issues with misconfiguration causing issues. The UI is not exactly elegant and it does not explain much.

Don’t be less evil*
See “don’t be evil” is still there

I would assume most are not wiping their juices on their neck either in the same way only some men are stinkmaxxing

I am so tired of this shit. Last year it was women in the gym rubbing vagina juices on their necks to attract mates in the gym, and now this? I have a sensitive sense of smell and this is an affront on me.

It’s not like the CS program is devoid of programming, norb would I say the SWE students are that much better off without outside education. CS is about half theory half practical for core education at least. The difference is you learn why and how which is more beneficial long term. After the first 6 months on the job the difference between the two on programming ability should be about the same with some more optimal solutions found by the CS student if any difference. It’s a pretty short term problem.

What if I had both?

Honestly ratings from reviews should just be “would you recommended reading this book y/n?” at least until people learn how to write reviews subjectively and about the actual content not something unrelated such as shipping issues. We all vote far too inconsistently as a whole for more granular ratings to mean a damn thing might as well reduce that down.
I do like your point, but do believe we need far more criteria to make sense of these reviews. Yes we should remove the fluff reviews of users who wouldn’t have liked the genre to begin with, but why stop there? There’s so many variables that need to be considered where typical genre is one, but what about a person’s intellect? If they disliked a book because they simply could not understand it from any angle would that apply to myself or any one of us? How would someone convey that in a review? How likely are these individuals to be that self aware? We can move to other areas too like political affiliation, one’s culture, ones preferences in life in general or their experiences. The list goes on. While I do think removing the low hanging fruit such as “I hate romance but I read this because of a book club and yep I hated it” or review bombs or whatever else that isn’t actually an issue with the book itself. Determining this sentiment without a significant amount of false positives would be rather difficult, and at what point do we consider a person to be a fan enough of a genre? What about new people to resding or a new account?
Pretty much the default for a collosal fat fuck asshole himself.
