I think they can, but not for the conditions they used to be. And UK was immensly privileged as EU member.

That’s true. I use LineageOS to get at least OS updates, but firmware is definitely problematic. I just wished mobile hardware would be more generic like in Desktop PCs, that would solve a lot of problems.

There are only few things that are really sensitive towards low temperatures - cookie doughs, soufflé and maybe bread. For any other food preheating the oven ia just a waste of energy.
Food companies only write it on the instructions because the time the food needs in the oven is not valid when they have to count in the speed your oven needs to heat up.
My impression is that at least in Germany it’s very rare to get a straw in a restaurant at all. It’s usually fast food places, bars and clubs where straws seem to be a thing, and these places usually don’t offer metal cutlery.
That somehow depends on what “the country” is you are driving in.

I could imagine something like an IBAN protocol - open an IBAN link as in iban://AB26374838388 directly with your banking app and auto fill the bank transfer menu. Only add the amount of money you want to transfer.
No idea what other implications that would have e.g. for security though

It defenitely needs improvement. But I think it’s not too bad, sometimes your data is complex and is not easy to make one single overview figure, especially if spatial data is involved. The figure caption probably makes it clearer…
I guess the std dots were selected because error bars would mess the figure up entirely, as there are many data points. The map is probably used to link the color to the dots, but I mean we have a tool called “legend” for that. If that’s the case, what are the colored dots on the map? And yeah, the X-Axis lacks a unit.
The longer I looo the more difficult it gets, and I would expect more quality by a Nature peer review…
