Well, I fear for their safety and mental health because trans people are treated awfully in prison. Often they’re shunted into secure housing (solitary confinement, which is basically socially acceptable torture) for their entire sentence; sometimes it’s to mess with them and sometimes it’s truly the safest place in the facility, and I don’t know which is worse.
If you check OpenSecrets, a lot of US congresspeople take bribes that are under $15k. They take a lot of them from multiple different lobby groups instead of a big bribe from just a handful. I guess it helps to give them more ways to network once they’re out of office too.
Letterboxd and Goodreads both use a star rating system in addition to long-form reviews and it seems to work out great. I have my disagreements with how the sites are run, but the rating system isn’t one of them.
YouTube star ratings never included the opportunity to review (in text) a specific video, so I think your comparison isn’t very applicable or helpful in this specific situation. The Steam review system isn’t very analogous to how YouTube used to work.
Seconding this. I got a used Wii and hacked it to play pirated games from an SD card, including Just Dance. Literally every commercially sold Wii can be hacked now, it’s super easy. No money given to Nintendo.
Also, the Just Dance modding scene is still pretty active and there are Wii ports for newer songs/games. But you can emulate stuff instead if you don’t have/want a Wii.
I decided to reinstall Cult of the Lamb since the new expansion was announced. There’s a lot of stuff in that game that I straight up forgot existed lol.

I guess they’re hoping no one buying 2 has played the original or has much familiarity with the source material. Not the worst move from a marketing standpoint, but not really inspiring confidence for me since VtMB is probably one of my favourite linear/sandbox RPGs purely because of the atmosphere and dialog.
No, the combat in VtMB wasn’t very good, but that doesn’t mean the sequel has to be an ARPG. I really hope this is just one person’s opinion and it’s not that bad. Also, Phyre is a cringe name that hasn’t grown on me at all, so that sucks considering she apparently fucking says it constantly.

Why not just get a bigger case and upgrade the prebuilt over time? A PC is inherently modular, you can replace what you’ve already got pretty easily, piece by piece. Unless you think all of the components are trash and you want to completely start over, of course.
Even still, an upgraded GPU or CPU will make an immediate impact even on shitty hardware.
I’m down for reducing plastic, but framing it around sperm and natalism just weirds me out. I get that we generally would like to continue as a species, but I sort of think the damage we’ve done to the earth requires cleaning up in and of itself, not so we can have more babies.

If something pops up that you’ve never seen before, just search online for what it is. If you don’t know what System Information is, literally search “what is system information windows” and find out. This can be done for so many things and you don’t have to wait for an answer.
Additionally, in the “Open with…” dialog on Windows, you can see that System Information is the default application for .nfo files. Just change it to Notepad or something and you’ll never have this problem again.

I like children; I attended my 6-year-old niece’s birthday party yesterday and had a great time. I don’t like unruly children whose parents allow them to run amok and screech like a banshee at all hours.
You can only be woken up by screaming so many times before you lose your patience. I stayed at a hotel for a single week for work and was woken up before 6 AM by kids yelling for no reason 3 mornings out of 5. It wasn’t even at a resort.

Excellent to hear that this specific instance is unlikely to cause harm. I know some countries, like Denmark, make things difficult for trans people despite their progressivism in other areas, so I wasn’t sure.
