EDIT: What I said in this comment probably is not true. While the changes I made were added to the map, only users can create pokestops via a review process, apparently. Must have been a coincidence.

Niantic uses Open Streetmaps to create their pokestops. Somebody probably created a P.O.I. on the island based on a real statue or structure which an algorithm then automatically turned into a pokestop.

Source: I sometimes contribute to OSM and the additions I make often turn into pokestops a couple of weeks after, especially in remote areas without other P.O.I.s nearby.

Maybe if you’re making the exact same type of cake. To me, boxed cakes always taste way too sweet, and I think it’s strange that tyere are no fruit chunks in them instead of powdered fruit.

When EggInDisguise suggests that it may be personal choice and you chime in to say that representation matters as a response, it sort of comes across like you don’t think the actor’s preferences matter over the end goal of changing the media landscape.

Again, nobody has an obligation to change their body for the sake of normalizing a certain beauty standard. If the actor doesn’t want to grow out it’s their right not to do so. You can’t criticise individuals for industry trends.

Applaud diversity when you see it, but don’t critisise people just for being themselves.

The media is made up of individuals with their own choices or autonomy. It’s fair to say “I wish this got more representation in media” but it’s entity unfair to criticise specific individuals for not upholding a specific standard. The original premise was “what if being clean shaven was her choice?” in which case it would be nobody’s place to hold that against her.

Fiona Dourif did a fantastic job portraying Bart in this show. If being clean shaven is how they wanted to appear on screen, I think their right to do so supersedes any obligation they have to ‘normalize’ anything for anyone else. It certainly did not harm the performance.

Cough medicine can induce drowsiness, but you probably shouldn’t be taking it as a sleep aid. The distinction between intended vs unintended effects is an important distinction to make, in my opinion, to prevent drugs from being unintentionally misused.

Contrary to what I said earlier, residents of certain provinces have been complaining that the quality of their healthcare has been substandard, and are upset that there are no alternatives available as the law forbids private doctors from even setting up shop there.

What’s wrong with a monopoly if people are satisfied with it’s service? In Canada, the government has a monopoly on healthcare and generally people don’t complain.

I suspect if we banned the ability to earn profits from farming, there wouldn’t be many people who would want to farm. Personally, I’d rather choose an unprofitable job that was less exhausting, like being a starving artist.
