  • I will note, that I comment this, to tell it to other people possibly reading these comments. You do not have to care, if you do not want to, I understand.

It should not really be “Russia bad!”, more like “Putin’s dictatorship bad”, or something like that. The fact is, Russia attacked another nation under Putin’s leadership (they say it themselves), and started the war without provocation, to conquer a sovereign nation (they have also said that themselves). Knowing this, makes quite many people not like Russia under this leadership, especially if you are their neighbor, and they have attacked your lands before as well, to conquer them (that is, where my angle is coming from, for the context).
Some random russian from the street did not do it - but you cannot blame ukrainians for defending themselves either. So, in short it is “war bad”, “starting war really bad”, but “defending yourself ok”. Now, what is happening in the actual meat grinder… War bad.

  • I think one doing it said, they do it for style, no idea about others, if there are several. But let them be, we are online, and practically have crawled to hide under a rock here - of course you are going to encounter multiple different type of weirdoes. Writing a bit funny is very low on the list of bothersome things, I have seen people do here. If you get annoyed at the thorns, just stop reading and scroll past. In the long run, creating a negative space with mean comments, just makes things worse for everyone.

//Sorry, I meant “you” in general, I was not trying to aim this at you specifically.

  • It is also the athmosphere of anxiety. Horror movies try to intentionally create feelings of fear, and uneasiness, which then is present in the color scheme, camera angles, music (or lack of), spacing… everything. In documentaries and the like, usually the incidents themselves, also speak for themself.

I cannot take horror at all either - I cannot usually watch even horror comedies - but one of my favorites, is to watch real tsunami footage. The point is not to see people dying or some unreal scary stuff, it is to witness the real absoluteness of destruction nature is capable of, yet also people managing to survive, and help each other, in the middle of it.

  • Also, as a personal anecdote: I have seen multiple pittie-type of dogs in dog parks, that are fine at first, but then after running and playing for a while, start to get agitated, which then triggers aggressive behavior towards the other dogs. The common theme with the incidents I have seen, is the owners not understanding their dog’s bodylanguage, and not realizing when they are starting to get agitated, and should have stopped and left.

I am autistic person, grown up with dogs, so often I can read dog bodylanguage better than human one. I have taken my dog, and left from dog parks, when I have noticed the agitation rising in that type of dogs, because I do not trust the owners. These days it is honestly just safer to not go in there, if there is a pittie-types, even if they seem to be fine.
I sadly find it is also pointless to try to point this behaviour out to the owners, as they get offended for implying their dog is aggressive, even though that is not the point. And then they get couple bad incidents, and quietly stop visiting dog parks.

Do not take a dog from a breed, that has high tendency towards dog aggression, if you want a high chance to have a dog, you can take to dog parks.

  • Pitbulls also have strong tendecy for aggression towards other dogs, because of the background of the breed. Not all of them have dog aggression, especially the mixed, but many do. As an instinct, it is often way too difficult to all but experts, to train them not to act on it, and many people can barely do basic training, much less realize, what sort of precautions they need to take, to prevent incidents.

This also means keeping them in places, with a lot of other dogs around - so almost every situation people live in these days - creates a big chance of them attacking other dogs. And when dogs fight, it is very common for humans to get injured, while they try to stop it, because the dogs are in a very agitated state. Since pitties are a strong breed with strong jaws, getting bit by one means usually a really bad time, even if it just an accident… which then leads to blaming the dog for their owner’s stupidity, as noted above.

  • These days I actually also eat the preboiled versions. Them getting slightly soggier, makes them a bit easier to digest. Just bare oats can be quite hard for unhealthy intestines, but it is my favorite dessert… I also like to use oatmilk, which makes it somewhat hilarious, eating oats in two different forms at the same time.

    Ja kiitos :)

  • It is very obvious when these cameras are pointed at you

Do you honestly believe, that all the people you have met in person, would be able to tell the difference between a glasshole with their VR glasses, and a random blind person wearing sunglasses? Sure, in this discussion it is a hyperbole, but people manage to cause these stupid mob mentality things every now and then. Like reddit, and misidentifying the Boston bomber. Or all the canceling, harassing and doxxing, that has ended up targeting someone innocent. Just the other day, I saw some post about a documentary or something, about how pedo hunters managed to murder some completely unrelated person.

Real life is not a movie, people get permanently disabled and even die from a single punch, even in stupid, drunken bar fights all the time. If a random person reads that comment about punching, and decides it is actually a good idea - do you think that one, is definitely one of those, who will be able to actually recognize the VR glasses? Inciting violence online, and managing to cause even a single moron, to assault and possibly kill innocent people, makes you responsible for that as well. If you think that is okay, you should think about your values, and what sort of a person you really want to be.

I do hope you can find some healthier outlet for your anger, than insulting randoms, and writing violent fantasies online.

  • Did you not read my, or the other posters, comments? You are missing the point we both made. Let me try again.

There are a lot of stupid people. Trying to get a lot of people to punch glassholes, will lead those stupid people to also punch people with VR glasses. Which then leads to stupid people actually punching people with glasses. But because they are stupid, they cannot tell which ones are wearing VR glasses, or that someone wearing VR glasses might have them as an accessibility device, and not as pervert glasses. So they will punch people who have glasses, that to them, look like VR glasses, but are not.
A lot of blind people wear sunglasses, that can look like VR glasses, in places people do not usually wear sunglasses. This means, getting a lot of stupid people, to punch people with glasses, will lead to a lot of innocent people - especially blind ones - not releated to glassholes in anyway, getting targeted and punched, just for existing in a public place. A lot of people punching random people indiscriminately for wearing glasses, because they hate glassholes, is an angry mob. Thus, that plan leads to an angry mob, punching a lot of innocent people.

  • Perhaps it could have been, your mucuous membranes reacting to the spicyness, rather than having them in your urine itself? Many autoimmune disorders tend to react strongly, to certain eaten things (like spices) - chronic bladder wall inflammation being one of them, for example - so I assume it could be possible, for that sort of reaction, to happen mildly and temporarily, with an excessive exposure like that.

  • I agree. Punching glassholes sounds good in theory, but a lot of people are extremely stupid. Encouraging to do that, will practically lead to multiple blind people getting punched in the face, even if they are not even wearing VR glasses. I would rather have the pervert glasses wearing idiots walk around, than blind people having to not use their accessibility devices, or having to just stay away from public places in fear of being assaulted.

There has to be some better solution, be it just asking enthusiasticly “hey are those VR glasses? where did you get them?” or “excuse me, are you blind?”, before punching, or some better legislation, or something. Something that does not lead to morons punching blind people regularly.

  • Also, perhaps ironically, because Latin is an agglutinative language, the original “cogito, ergo sum” does not have pronouns either. The -o ending in cogit-o, tells it is “I” who thinks, and “sum” tells it is “I” who is (“being” being completely irregular verb). So it is “(I) think, so (I) am”.

  • Yes… at what point do you stop blocking the single posters, but block the community instead? And at what point do you stop blocking the communities, and block the whole instance? We all draw those lines differently, but it is definitely not easy, when you also want to interact with the people thinking differently, but also in good faith. And how to spot those people, from the mass of bots, propagandists, trolls, and useful idiots… And not end up wasting that time, or unintentionally boosting their message.

Though, for me the last line absolutely is drawn in the genocide-denialism, as for example defending Chinas “assimilation”, is just wording genocide to sound palatable. If the moderators of a community accept it, and other users upvote it, it goes into the “sitting at the table with nazis”-metaphora, for me. It really is very important, to hear other viewpoints, to avoid the echo chamber, but I also refuse to become a part of the crowd even just accepting the approval or defending of attrocities from the sidelines. Some people of course do find something worthwhile in reading, or even taking opposing part in even the worst discussions as well, but I just get unhinged and extremely angry, and that is not a good thing to expose yourself to all the time. Especially, when I seek the mentioned fun here, be it memes, or meaningful discussions (like this one), as I already get my dose of Awful, from following the news from multiple sources.
