That’s a bit ignorant. They were talking about it on NPR and the biggest issue is that the roads were washed away in the area so it’s really difficult for the army to reach the town with relief supplies.

If you’re producing a product at a loss, you’re not going to be in business for very long. The bigger issue is that the treatments rely on companies to foot the cost of production for the promise of later profit. Cut the companies out, have medical centers manage production not-for-profit.
If businesses are operating at a loss they cannot sustainably remain open.

Very hard to tell if 90 seconds is life or death. Every second counts but if they made it to the ER with a minute and a half to spare I don’t know if they would have had enough time for meaningful intervention.
