Gazpacho. Giada DiLaurentiis has a green gazpacho that is super tasty, and feels less like you’re just eating salsa out of a bowl. Charcuterie. Did this for a friend, I knew they loved charcuterie but I think it would work for lots of people. Arrange a nice pretty board with lots of yummy condiments, meats, cheeses, nuts, pickles, fruit, and wrap it up. She mentioned it was so nice to have what felt like a fancy adult meal amidst all the diapers and non adult themed things. Made her feel like herself, not a breast milk machine lol.
Thank you for taking the time to write this so constructively. I was feeling myself get real mean about it lol. Then I read your post and realized you already said what needed to be said. Using AI to tone it down was a good call. But I am floored at that person’s point of view. Truly unreal.

“While Hubble images took 122 hours to produce, JWST’s — collected nine years after Hubble’s — took just 22 hours.” That tidbit is crazy to me. Really, the whole thing is crazy to me.
Never. That is a position for the naive.

My thoughts exactly. Do downvotes offend you that much? Like, who cares? Just use whatever you want. This is the internet, it’s not that serious.
Wow what incredibly lucky friends you have! This is going to be a delicious meal, let us know how it turns out!
These sound wonderful! Acid is always welcome for me. I like to squirt some lemon on the veggies that show up on the table. Lots of wine in the gravy helps too.
I mean, I’d even be interested in two thanksgivings…
Good on you! We have a defacto meat person too. My sister-in-law’s dad (so I guess married in father-in-law?) likes to take on the meat, though in our case he insists lol.
This sounds so interesting! Almost like a clafoutis, but more custardy. Once you’ve got it down I’d love if you shared a recipe :)
Haven’t had a turkey sous vide yet, would love to try it. Your method sounds delicious! Thankfully, I’m not in charge of the bird this year. The person who is will be smoking ours, so that will be tasty and different. Happy cooking!
Personally, I don’t find it scary at all. It’s miraculous and inspiring!
What a cruel world we live in. But happy to commiserate in our unfortunate newfound knowledge. That’s something I guess lol.
It’s actually really crazy how little we know. Pretty much every discipline has questions that are answered with “we don’t know”. When it comes to knowledge we have barely scratched the surface.

Interesting. My point still stands though. It’s crazy that a party would have a 22 year old on said list, and that anyone would support a party that has a list with 22 year olds on it.

I’m all for voting in younger representatives but I would never in a million years vote for a 22 year old. Or a racist for that matter. But the most shocking part to me is his age. Like, 22 year olds have not been alive long enough to develop any kind of meaningful wisdom. I’m only 36 so my wisdom is only just developing and I look back on all the 22 year olds I knew when I was 22 and holy shit do not put any of those people in charge of important decisions.
Nice work! Thanks for sharing!

Chibi-jason!
Epazote along with marjoram get my vote for herbs we should all be using waaaayyy more. Looks awesome, thanks for sharing!!
