When you can’t be the winningest. It’s like giving yourself an A for effort.
Laying the groundwork for post election
Maybe this is normal, but I just learned last week that in Washington, if a candidate has lost the open primary they cannot be a write in candidate.
Who is this candidate? Pick one and start saying their name! Would Sanders take the nomination? Whoever it is, you’ll need their cooperation at least, so find your duck and get it in the row.
I don’t mean to yell at you, it is frustrating and humiliating for the average citizen, and it’s going to get worse.
Losing less is still better than losing more and if we’re too late we have to accept that and look beyond the vote to damage control in the coming years. Yes, asking each other to “hold your nose and vote” sucks, but we’ve got to pair it with the idea that protest and disobedience and local government action is going to be an important factor for years to come, no matter who is president.
Maybe if the price per apple goes up, the grocer takes the money. He can’t sell more apples because there aren’t any right now and anyway there’s still the same number of stomachs, so he puts it in the bank. The bank lends it out at too high interest for the farmer to borrow to plant trees on the off chance he can convince the grocer to stock more apples five years from now.
IANAE but I think the idea is high interest rates prevent supply expansion generally.
By itself it is a weird thing to say, like I thought the usual strategy (and apparently the Israelis’) is to publicly assume good behavior so they have something to lose.
You can say this situation is different, but still the only use for that kind of speculation is to emotionally load support for Israel (which is already high), and it may certainly further endanger the hostages, regardless of gender.
Thanks for this, I just looked up the same thing
I’m thinking it’s great for poor people, but it’s much more useful for the wealthy who make bigger single purchases that can be scheduled, so the state loses more potential revenue from the top. Though, I just checked and they seem to exclude higher prices items from the holiday, so my fears are unfounded.
McCarthy also gave a vague hint about his future plans: “I look forward to helping entrepreneurs and risk-takers reach their full potential.”
“The challenges we face are more likely to be solved by innovation than legislation,” he wrote.
Technocratic venture capital?
But doesn’t it mean that people who can time their big purchases escape paying? I’m thinking yachts and cars and luxury stuff. I guess it depends on the state how much of the revenue comes from that. Interesting the effect on municipal revenue. I had never heard of it.
“sales tax holidays”? Did sales tax just get more regressive?
This is the problem, like I’m fine if he was really going to let God do the punishing, but they all wanna take his job

I’m sorry for your loss and this dreadful added complication.
Try them with plain yogurt. Cuts the grease somehow and good for you.
My point is the bill would be more interesting if it was not restricted to the TSA in an airport, but maybe they have to start somewhere?
I think choosing a large popular instance to store your account info, posts and comment history makes sense. Also, not having great info about how your credentials are handled on all of these different instances makes people tend to congregate under the idea that more users means better outcome for any grievances. Seems safer. What am I missing?
I can actually well imagine them responding to use a Gmail or short list of major domains. Normies are normal and the companies want an email they can link to all the other data on the web.
What all of you fail to realize is that it’s literally the point of the project. To filter those “emails” that value privacy. Just like everyone has the right to use those privacy prioritized emails, website operators have a right to know. That is a 1:1 copy of the description of the project.
There is nothing in the article to suggest that the TSA programs’ errors have inconvenienced people as the agent is right there to correct it, and more scans improves the accuracy. I get what you’re saying, but the same biases are undoubtedly programmed into the brains of the agents and just as hard to eradicate.
There are many places I don’t want to see facial recognition employed, but where people are already mandated to positively identify themselves seems like a natural fit. I think the senators and the ACLU can find much more persuasive examples of overreach.
DrawExpress is very intuitive to use on a phone, but the files may not be editable in other software. It exports as SVG, PNG, or pdf.
