I have some software running (behind cloudflare and results tailored to Brazil on SearXNG because of the brazilian IP):
- Redlib (Reddit front-end and proxy)
- Kittygram (Instagram front-end and proxy)
- SearXNG (Metasearch engine)
Feel free to use on Libredirect or directly!

Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•A very easy guide to bypassing paywalls (pirating news)
8·4 days agoForgot the https:// on the link, fixed
Thanks for the heads up!
I think this might be some heavy weight companies doing this, blocking their proxy nodes might be an option, or captchas to create posts, registrations, comments, etc.
They are automating sending these posts, like in the log on the screenshot, fortunately my instance is private.

Yes, proton-cachyos (from lutris or protonplus) can run the installer and the game.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What to do after getting a domain name?
92·20 days agoIn your scenario, I would prefer to tunnel to the outside, as it could be risky to just open a port on your router and open a port on your computer. In this case, pointing the IP to a vps that your PC tunnels to or putting the record in cloudflares DNS, that way no automatic port searcher will try to nuke your network. There is dynamic DNS too.
There is cloudflare and other options too.
Edit: I do this with cloudflare, but privacy is very much not given with them.

7·23 days agoCollection of porn piracy and discussion forums. The files are normally hosted elsewhere (bunkr (you can search a lot of stuff published in there at balbums.st), filester, pixeldrain, gofile (sometime ago there was a phishing attempt using gofile), etc).
Another collection of forums, on the same intent, is forums.socialmediagirls.com.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•[Discussion] Which privacy apps / services do you think are most likely US government honeypots?
3·23 days agoYeah, using a VPN would be good enough, but I want it to be open to the internet, without any port/config restriction, so I can access it from any device and anywhere, so the only remaining thing would be to host and open the port on a VM, only DoT and DoH, no :53 open (that would really be insecure, as DDoS insecure).

Privacy@lemmy.ml•[Discussion] Which privacy apps / services do you think are most likely US government honeypots?
5·24 days agoYeah, that would be perfect. I thought some time ago about doing a DoT port -> nginx -> pihole -> unbound inside a cloud VM for the outside world , like this, but that would be too much work and maybe insecure.

I know too little about how Android works…
Yeah, this is a more advanced thing, I think the other methods described on the post are better, if you don’t have a custom recovery AND custom rom. If the device is locked or have the stock rom, it might not boot, because of the signature checking on the image.
You also can put the hosts file made for a Linux system into the mounted
/system/etc/hosts, the system partition/systemcan be mounted on/mntor/mnt/systemtoo.As you have root, or with just a custom recovery, you can change it, just going to the recovery, using adb in there and mounting the system partition as rw, then moving the hosts file to the mounted expected location.

Linux@programming.dev•The future of AI in Ubuntu [Except it's Blockchains instead of AI]
0·1 month agoAt each and every step of this idiotic “we will put LLMs in everything”, I’m becoming more of a luddite.
My pc is working fine with artix and xfce on x11 (not that garbage xlibre), even DoT is working with stubby, why the hell do I need this shit?
Today the server goes systemdless too.
Sorry for the rant.
