Yeah absolutely… We’ve gone so long without having to worry about sooooo much water-borne shit, that people don’t even realize.
Can’t wait for the mainstream return of dysentery and cholera

Can’t wait to see how bad they actually end up looking while being worn because of the corruption graft, cut corners, etc.
The reflecting pool liner of military uniforms lol

Another article I saw said that these were literally modeled after Neil Patrick Harris’ uniform from Starship Troopers.

Ahhhh ok right. So nothing rhetorical here, just a genuine question you had with no planned follow-up or point to attempt to make. Uh huh.
How about I flip the question on you…
Do you think we should show sympathy for anyone and everyone on the receiving end of a politically-motivated violent attack?

Why are you taking all of this so personal?
While I was already reading through what I found to be an interesting study Pew did 1 year after 9/11 about the internet,
(Quite literally the exact topic that OP was asking about)
I took 30 sec to screenshot a relevant chart.
I dunno man, doesn’t seem unhealthy to me. Found an interesting article about the thing we were discussing here and thought that I’d share. That took me literally 30 sec to screenshot the chart from the article I was already reading.
The problem here seems to lie with you.

Found this interesting Pew study about the internet from 1 year after 9/11:
https://www.pewresearch.org/internet/2002/09/05/one-year-later-september-11-and-the-internet-2/
Take it with a grain of salt, I think it comes off as a little overly optimistic, especially given some of the dire things it talks about (massive support for giving away our freedoms, etc).
I did just see at the bottom that there’s literally 8 pages, and I was basing all that on just the first page so maybe I’ll read more or at least skim through the rest.
Edit: holy shit (from pg 2):

I didn’t realize I was up any notches. Maybe it is you who needs to take your defensiveness down a notch.
Also, hate speech went way up online after 9/11. Just because you didn’t see it doesn’t mean it wasn’t there.
Edit:

I posted a top level comment with a pretty interesting Pew research article, this chart is on page 6.
Over half of the sites in the study had a tenor of “anger, fear and hate.” More than the “nonviolent response” cohort. I also wonder what % of the “religious expression” ones were Islamophobic

Edit: to be clear, these comments are about as dispassionate as I can get, I’m honestly not sure why anyone would interpret it otherwise.
Am I turning into an old curmudgeon, or should they be keeping this kind of stuff off of the official Twitter account?
I dunno, it just comes off as amateurish and unprofessional to post this on your company’s main official communications platform (unless of course I’ve been duped).
Now then… Back to yelling at clouds
Try an atomic Fedora spin… Talk about stable.
I’ve been running Bazzite for a couple of years now, and it’s technically built on Fedora. First experience with a Fedora distro, and couldn’t be happier. Love it

Does anyone else have experience with liquid metal instead of thermal paste?
I’ve got a Framework which apparently uses a liquid metal pad instead so you don’t need to re-up the paste.
Does anyone know of any other maintenance that might be needed instead?
When I was a kid, before you could translate stuff on the internet and we were waiting months for the new batch of translated Dragonball Z episodes to hit Toonami (I swear, if I come home from school today and it’s goddamn Radditz again, I’m gonna Destructo Disc my mom’s Camry), I got like a tiny little I guess travel book for translating English to Japanese thinking that maybe I’d start learning.
The only word I remember is “hamburger” because the book showed the Japanese pronunciation as “haam baah gaah” lol
Is Nancy not entitled to the sweat of her brow??
Yeah how the fuck am I supposed to get 8 full hours of Rimworld without someone here to cook me chicken tenders?
The weekend which, by the way, is another concept that labor unions had to fight and died for.

Look, I’m not going to defend this bullshit decision, but humans survived millennia without regulated, clean, drinking water. Yes, some of the lucky ones had life, liberty, and maybe even some property.
They were drinking low % beer because it was safer. For literally thousands of years.
It was an absolute nightmare, and anyone with a working understanding of history knows exactly why we need regulated, clean, drinking water.
But unfortunately, here we are. A legislature that has abdicated it’s responsibility in prostrate to a mad king. With a Supreme Court with at least four justices, off the top of my head, that will have no issue poisoning our drinking water. And two more who could go either way.

This not you then? Different number of 'l’s?

Scroll up like 3 comments, dawg. You literally said this.

This isn’t true, there were racist fucks immediately targeting Sikhs.
People were literally killed in retaliatory attacks (that often targeted the wrong fucking religion).

No, you said -anyone- who is a victim of political violence deserves sympathy. They brought up one of the more recent people who 100% deserved no such thing.
My UE BOOM died a couple of years back. Loved that thing. Maybe I’ll get another one…
