While I agree with the sentiment behind your comment, every big infrastructure project has to have an EIA and so do Autobahn projects. Very simply put, the argument „overwhelming public opinion“ can be used to build a project in spite of its negative environmental consequences.

No, Israel is not bad. The entire country is in shock after a devastating terror attack that killed thousands. They have a right to defend themselves. What can and should be criticized and questioned is the current government and how they act in Gaza. On the other side, any form of anti-semitism that hides as criticism should not be tolerated.

Hamas wants this war to continue, so they probably won’t release all hostages any time soon. They want an offensive of Israel in Gaza with as many Palestinian civil casualties as possible. This gets them more sympathy, support and in turn increases the global pressure and critique on Israel.

I get your point and I do not advocate to let cats freely roam outside because of their impact on local wildlife but by this logic wild animals should all be kept in zoos as they live a lot longer there.
