Everyone has a price.
Everyone has a price.
Well, it is an efficient manner.
I highly doubt these mental midgets took care to properly hide their identity when making these calls. I’m fairly confident they could easily be round up and charged with criminal threats against an officer of the law.
Well, it only took them 40-odd years to deal with a hugely exploited loophole. Thanks for keeping us safe, FDA.
I chose not to wait. Greasemonkey script for blocking on desktop, Connect app for blocking on phone.

12k just doesn’t seem like a newsworthy amount.
I’ve got Grayjay on my phone but I very rarely watch YT on it so I’ve not really used it yet. Almost 100% of my watching happens on the PC and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with Freetube. No shorts spam, sponsorblock, more useful features on the player, it’s pretty fantastic.
YT’s push into ad-blocker blocking did the same for me that Reddit’s API change did, that being it was enough of a push for me to stop using their platform. In Reddit’s case, I get my fix from Lemmy and in YT’s case, I use Freetube to watch videos. In both cases, I’m sure they’re not losing money in my absence but I do feel better not giving them the data that I used to.
It’s not. I’ve had some of the same empty communities for more than a month in that block.
There is a way to opt out. Stop using FB.
On the plus side, I meet less people like you when using their service, so it’s worth it to me.
I always use Google anonymously as I always find alternative search engines to be lacking. Even without personalized search results, Google always works better for me.
I never thought of that aspect as I’ve never used them. My subscription list is so long, I don’t have the time to watch the videos I’m subbed to, much less any bonus content. I wonder how many people use that feature.
I don’t think anything is killing the platform as the longstanding ones seem pretty durable. Reddit did just fine throughout the API exodus and Twitter has somehow managed to survive Musk’s repeated and constant attempts to kill it. There will be enough viewers on youtube that will take whatever Google decides to throw at them. Don’t ask me why but a large portion of the viewers( redditors and tweeters, etc) just don’t care enough to make a change.
Freetube adopter as well. The experience is actually an improvement over using the yt site. I wish I had done it earlier.
I’m not saying this sarcastically but with honest confusion, is the warning from an entity or group that hasn’t spent a lot of time on the internet? I’m not young by any stretch of the imagination and people have had very easy, almost accidental access to horrific imagery and media since the advent of the internet. Fake titled gore on Napster, image boards, etc.
I will say the quality/detail of the content has gotten disturbingly more clear. That part makes it more disturbing to me. The Ukraine community has a shocking amount of drone video where it’s like a front row seat to the last seconds of someone’s life.
It looks like they were going to give two mints but thought better of the added expenditure.
Any politics and porn servers or communities get blocked.
