As both an instance admin and a mod of a few communities, I can already tell you those are just expectations of any community already. That’s not new, that’s already the baseline. You have to find something even better than that.

Good. Americana think they’re so much different from everyone else and we’re literally not. I hold a form belief that everyone just wants to go to work, get off work, they’d rather get a pizza for dinner but they’re going to try to eat something better, are looking forward to their next day off, and when it comes they’re going to go to their target equivalent for a boring errands run. I think about 90% of the people are in this category, just average working people, and that makes me feel a little more connected with them.

One thing I’ve been reading is how the younger generations haven’t grown up with what we call traditional technology. There are people entering the workforce who have used iPads for most of their lives and don’t know what a directory structure is, or a file share, or basic word/excel/pp skills. Think about it, iPads made it so easy by showing most recent items that they don’t even really know ehat folders are.

Those are all things I took in my first few computer classes. How to make a word doc. Basic formulas in excel. How to make a PowerPoint do a star wipe. Those are real tangible skills that everyone should know entering the workforce. Then, if people show a talent for it, I would encourage them to pursue something like programming.

Agree, hr is more or less a one stop shop to being fired. Op is right, they’ll immediately label you someone who is willing to speak up, what’s the addage? The beach who perks up gets pruned. HR isn’t necessarily there to protect the company, but the status quo. They don’t want anyone making noise, else it is bad for everyone.

Same. I forget what I was reading/watching, but it’s a shame that they build these gorgeous worlds just to put an assassin’s creed game into. Odyseey and Valhalla were both gorgeous, then they fill it with fetch quests and tedium. I don’t understand why they don’t just build worlds, and let smaller studios fill them out. They could do a base assassin’s creed, but think of how many other stories could have been told with the sheer size of Odyssey

I had done the same thing for about 60 hours, and when I finally thought I was done with the monotony I was transported to 2 new locations that required me to do around and do boring fetch quests. I just never went back to it, and that was… 2 years ago? Still installed, just don’t care.

Story was fine but there was so much boredom between actual story that what was the point.

Personally, I don’t care if celebrities come and join, even Taylor. Honestly that’s one of the reasons I’m okay with threads starting to federate, I see celebrities joining there and then we can sub from our instances. Best of both worlds imo.

One good thing IMO about threads federating, that we get the celebrities, we know they’re verified, but I don’t have to join corpo social media.
