Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•I would like to write an opera but where do I start?
11·5 hours agoI don’t want to dwell too much on the AI bit (although AI is making great strides), because it quickly gets people “on the fence”. I mean, the creative part part is mine, and the melody too; tatata dum-di-dum taraaaaah! But I don’t want to give too much away.

1·5 hours agoAlas, that’s not part of the business plan at this stage, but I will offer lower pricing for students. Would that work for you?

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•I would like to write an opera but where do I start?
21·12 hours agoWhy should it be laughable? It is not as if I’m suggesting that it should be sung by robots… although… although… this gets me thinking! perhaps I better shut up , the world is full of thieves.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•I would like to write an opera but where do I start?
11·15 hours agoWell, you would, for starters! No this will be an original piece, I can’t talk about the actual story line - this is HOT baby.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•I would like to write an opera but where do I start?
31·15 hours agoThat is partially finished, I have also selected the voices. In my head I can already hear a lot of the piece, and occasionally I hum partitures from it in the shower.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•I would like to write an opera but where do I start?
38·15 hours agoNo not really, I have rudimentary knowledge of notes. Could AI help me here? If I hum or sing the tune (The dramatic storyline is partially finished),could an AI engine turn it into a Partitur for each instrument?

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you still use fluorescent lightbulbs in 2026? Or any other bulbs that aren't LED?
4·18 hours agoWe’ve completely switched to LEDs right when they became available. Taken together with all the other electricity savings that we have been doing, our electricity bill is 75% below what I hear from friends.
I only watch old stuff, I liked Arabesque with G. Peck and S. Loren.

News@lemmy.world•Nuclear power could more than triple by 2060, UN agency says
1·18 hours agoWeird that the UN makes such a statement, in most cases they try to remain neutral. The magic is in the word “could” more than triple. So it isn’t a prediction, it’s a wish/scenario or whatever. “Safer than any other option” - now that’s a tricky statement! As more countries start building nuclear reactors, one or two may get the bright idea to use the enriched uranium to create The Bomb, and the risk of a nuclear war is higher than ever, so no, nuclear reactors won’t make the world safer. Intriguingly, the majority of text in the AP article is about highlighting the countries where nuclear has led to tremendous conflict. And the uranium needs to be sourced from other countries, Russia comes to mind, so we create dependencies on countries we actually don’t want to do business with. I’m not convinced, sorry.

33·1 day agoApparently you don’t walk much. I do. You need at least water. And a wallet to buy new shoes. And this guy would need a charger for his phone too. No, something is fishy.
