Damn, you right…i was going off memory…
Damn, you right…i was going off memory…
Off the main topic of the article here, but that was a roller coaster of thoughts for me with the Title and the link thumbnail-
Kinda looks like Drew Berrymore in the thumbnail, so “Bionic Girl Debuts…” oh cool, new movie—-wait, Drew lost her arms and now has prosthetics? Opened the article……Ohhh…
My first thought as well…BuUuTt, Land trains are a thing, in Australia of course.
We rewatched this movie last fall sometime and (obviously) immediately knew who that was…we were surprised because we didnt know he was in it. Basically this just dates how long it had been since we last saw the movie……
Second this for the US. Nothing major as a nation, but various small things in different areas or cities.
I know Hawaii does a Lei Day- “May day is Lei Day in Hawaii”. Not a full on holiday, but there’s usually festivities of various levels around the islands.
Fair enough! I grew up on the gulf coast and have traveled all over the deep south, have family from northern Louisiana, and my parents lived in Baton Rouge for a while- so i wasnt trying to “assume” for you! A1 (for me) is just one of those things that seemed so common i stopped seeing it and never needed to look for it! Like I said, you aint missing much, so im glad you aren’t familiar with it cause there are waaay better options where you’re at!!
Odd you havent seen it being from the south…but that’s probably for the better! It’s Steak Sauce. Meant to be put on steaks…it’s in all major grocery chains and usually on the tables at most restaurants serving any sort of a steak menu. Bottle is shaped like a Worcestershire bottle, but has a white label with a big A1 on it. I never cared for it so at this point couldn’t even tell you what it tastes like. If a steak needs a sauce, then it’s not a good steak.
With that said, i’ve seen it used as a marinade ingredient, or more complex sauce ingredient- so it’ll still have its uses.
I second this, Ken Roczen (Pro Supercross/Motocross racer) from Germany just got US citizenship earlier this year…. Also this- Dual Citizenship in Germany
If by Ice Miners you mean Ice Planet 2002? Then yes, i am 100% with you. My brother was collecting all the Blacktron and I was everything Ice Planet. Loved that white/blue/neon orange look! I still have almost all the sets, with boxes and instructions stored away at my parent’s. All except the damned Deep Freeze Defender ship…i never was able to get that one cause it was so expensive. - i do have the whole Ice Station base, tho, ha. Not sure what happened to my brother’s collection- it could be back home as well!
That’s what I was thinking, too. 5 subpanels for an average residential home is pretty huge. 2-3 is still okay for a 150-200a service, but 5…that’s a lot of circuits….
Yup…that would really bug me. Cant un-see it now
This is like the new (horrible) meme trend. So many “POV…” that should be MFW, or just dont add anything. It’s like everyone forgot wtf POV means…. This and the “Literally nobody: “ extra lines are what make me put my phone down and go to something else….after i leave this comment, of course…
That’s my thought as well. Considering none of his is actually twisted pair, likely not “data” rated- just old multi-line POTS cabling…BUT- im pretty sure all exterior “burial” rated cable has always been filled with something for the purpose of preventing water ingress. I want to say icky-pick was a nickname for it?
Neat. I love happy little surprise conveniences left by someone else! As someone who deals a lot in low-voltage stuff, i really like this one.
Ya, i woke up this morning to my entire feed being nothing but their “rules” posts. Didn’t take more than a few minutes before that place got blocked. My block list is sooo long here….
I’ve definitely bought some in the last…4 years that are still standard replaceable 9v only powered. In the US from local hardware stores. A quick amazon search shows i can still buy both types, replaceable 9v and fixed 10 year…
That’s not what this is…this isn’t a breakout board or a development board. This is just straight up, drop-in power supply for bare breadboards. If you dont know what breadboards are….well…
Lately we’ve been acquiring and rewatching a lot of old 90s cartoons/TV shows with our daughter, and i feel this so much. The fade-to-black at a particular scene for the commercial break, the ‘brought to you by…’ that’s written in. And then the nostalgic memory of the types of commercials that would play, like for different toys and such that were sometimes just as exciting to watch as whatever show was on!
Yes, but more often than normal this time of year. Our current house doesn’t have a fireplace, so I’ll put on some fireplace loop video on the TV and use Sonos (through the TV audio system) for the music. Sonos is already our main source for any music in the house and not all fireplace videos have decent music, or at least whatever music we might want at the time.
When I used to play MMOs I did this fairly often as well during the grind. Wouldn’t really need the game audio, so I’d just pipe something else in.
Haa, i was gonna say “is that for real???”(like not a mishap) But there’s even a second way back there!
