Jap, ich weiß davon, deswegen habe ich es so formuliert. Diese Aussagen haben kernwahrheiten. Das Problem ist jetzt aber komplett zu verallgemeinern und so zu tun als ob es Gewissheiten sind. China ist ein recht großes Land und manchen Teilen auch noch divers.

Es gibt ja bekanntlich kein China ausherhalbs der großen Städte. Außerdem top aktuell deine Quelle. Dabei gebe ich ja zu, dass die großen Städte sehr verschmutzt sind, doch hat sich das auch etwas verbessert (doch immernoch scheiße).

Genau die dreckigen Chinesen die nur fekalien fressen! Da will man doch nicht hin. Und dann bekommt man auch noch neue krankheiten von diesen dreckigen Chinesen!

Alter, könnt ihr euch selber hören? Es gibt viele Gründe nicht nach China zu reisen aber hört auf mit dieser Rassismus scheiße

I do not like Orban at all and hate to agree with him, but I think he is right. I think there are two big reasons why Ukraine is unlikely to join the EU proper in the near to medium term:

1. The EU needs reform when it comes to deciding things when there is no consensus and this is now a very accepted position.The EU will only become more sluggish if we open the gates to another country with veto power.
2. Farmers. Ukraine is a big (and has potential to be even bigger) aggreculture powerhouse. Many laws (aggreculture subsidies etc) in the EU are not sustainable if Ukrain becomes part of the EU.

These problems are solvable, but take a lot of time I think. Also I don’t think it is in the EUs best interest to allow a war torn/rebuilding market into the single market, but here I could be wrong. Maybe there are reasons (like a way to exploit Ukraine after the war) that would invalidate my theory…

I would like to see the EU expand, but I think it will take a long time.

Currently I’ve a 3090 before that I had a 1060 and the 3090 I bought almost at release. I genuinely never had a problem.

I hate saying this because of the all the toxic attitudes around but I ran gentoo and now arch Linux. Maybe they package the proprietary driver better?

I only had a driver issue with Nvidia once in more than 10 years running Linux with Nvidia exclusively (need Nvidia for Cuda (and Cuda for work)) and that was fixed by temporarily downgrading

OK that’s just user error: I want to do what experts are doing but it isn’t easy. Why are these experts so elitist! Cry me a river.

Nvidia does take serious steps to support Wayland. Only since like half a year ago and not extremely fast but serious steps non the less.

As a German one is immediately reminded of nazi Germany. This is of course a rather naiive interpretation but even if you take historical context into account: the Romans where not the nicest people but apparently their authority comes from God himself.

#3 is also sometimes not a problem, many devices work with a bit lower or higher voltage. It’s because the DC to DC converter that is used to control the voltage for the device itself is tolerant enough.

Sometimes devices are multiple volts tolerant with the caviate that the components get warmer with higher input voltage and therefore the device could have reduced life expectency. If the devices where not tolerant especially for lower voltages a slightly bad cable or a long cable could drop the voltage enough so the device wouldn’t function.

I am actually German so thank you for all the recommendations! I will check out some of the books (even though I know it will take me some time to get to them. I have a rather long reading list, but I will check them out!)
