minus-squaremagnetosphere@fedia.iolinkfedilinkarrow-up1·4 months agoRight? At that age, they’re old enough to understand what they’re seeing, but not old enough to dismiss it as “just a movie”.
minus-squarekratoz29@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·4 months agoHmm… I am pretty sure at 11 years old I watched several R rated films, the ones that come to my mind are Saw, Scream, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club etc. I don’t think I have ever been scared about a movie or not being able to distinguish between real life and a film.
minus-squaremagnetosphere@fedia.iolinkfedilinkarrow-up2·4 months agoOh, I’m not talking about confusing real life and film. I just mean that it’s (relatively) easier for adults to get horrible, unpleasant images out of their heads. Kids can’t control their thoughts as well.
