Humans are inherently evil and selfish and will take whatever they can to meet their needs, many of which involve the satisfaction of dominating others.

Thefts among friends and loved ones are considered normal because everyone steals from each other and no one wants to be held accountable for their actions, for example.

Just more base animal shit from humanity

That’s not how all close relationships are and I hope you find enough generous people in your own life to eventually change your mind about that. Everyone deserves to have friends they can absolutely trust.

I have. It doesn’t change the fact that humanity is inherently evil and for one’s greater happiness it’s best to keep them at arm’s length. I never trust my friends that much and I am never expected to. 🤷

The fact that you reacted so strongly to me pointing out facts says you’re upset at even the idea that someone would openly reject others.

If you were really so righteous, you wouldn’t have said a thing.

Nah, mate. You’re not pointing out facts. I can, and have, left out bills for years at a time in a communal area of the house, and none of my friends or family have taken them. Thefts among friends and loved ones are not considered normal.

I really just genuinely wanted to help. Clumsy though the attempt may have been, that was an attempt to offer comfort and not an expression of frustration nor self-righteousness.

Anyway, I’ve said my piece now. I am sorry for disrespecting your wish to not say anything to you and I will now stop. Nevertheless, I promise to read and carefully consider any response you may offer, despite going silent.

that’s just… not true though? study cultures and history for a bit and you quickly see that humans are frankly absurdly friendly to the point of caricature.
