That should really not be legal. Without knowing their names, how can the defendants know if the prosecutors have conflicts of interest or are even legally allowed to practice law?

While I agree and understand what you’re saying. I think you might need to understand that that does not matter. The illusion of law and order is being destroyed.

They control the monopoly on violence. The pen is not mightier than the sword. The pen is only mightier than the sword when the pen results in a bigger sword being built.

There is no bigger sword. The fascist control our police, military, and federal agents. And unless the people of this country suddenly gain class consciousness we won’t have anything to fight back with.

You will not win against fascist by trying to appeal to “rights” and trying to get others to “bring back what we had”.

What we had lead us to this point in the first place. We had an illusion of a democracy and justice that was only ever going to last until it’s contradictions could no longer be ignored.

You will not defeat fascist by pointing to their hypocrisy. They thrive because they are here to defend the very systems of oppression that were already filled with hypocrisy and contradictions in the first place.

Sigh…I know you’re right. The law doesn’t matter anymore, at least for them. I think it is important though to never let this sort of thing become something you see as normal. It is still alarming, even if something alarming like this happens every day.

That should really not be legal.

It shouldn’t be allowed, but unfortunately the immigration court system has always been fucked.

Immigration courts don’t operate under Article 3. They’re run by the DOJ and the AG. I probably don’t have to say much more there. It’s always been awful, but given the current administration you can assume that it’ll be even worse than usual.
