      Why do they get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars while at the same time skipping entire months worth of work?

        They go back to their districts and work there for most of it. Supposed to keep them informed about the will of the people.

        I’m sure most just vacation the whole time but some might still give a shit, I dunno

            Jn whatever country replaces the US, we need to have publicly funded elections. We have to get the money out of politics. Eliminate PACs while we’re at it.

              Doesn’t matter if you don’t completely decouple and depoliticise the judiciary. Otherwise, over time, you’ll be back here again.

      Right? I wish I could tell my boss I’m taking an extra week of vacation and the company will not only not punish me but will pay me for the time I’m not working.
