The US Treasury Department is now accepting Venmo and PayPal payments from those who want to donate money to reduce the nation’s ballooning $36.7 trillion debt.

      That is not how that works at all…

      They are in debt because for decades the government kept spending without bringing in tax money to cover it. They borrowed from other countries which creates dept.

      You are willingly agreeing to pay them that money ahead of time for your ease. It has always been an option to not pay it until filing season.

          Companies don’t deserve the right. They’re not individuals, they don’t even pay enough taxes as it is

            My comment was asking along the lines of companies not giving the employee the choice in having taxes deducted or not.

            Comapnies dont have that right. Companies are required to pay quarterly estimated taxes, and are fined if they are found to have underpaid on those estimates.
