There’s a german poem that i find very intriguing:

    Still sitzend,
    nichts tuend,
    kommt der Frühling
und das Gras wächst von allein.

    It means:
    Sitting still,
    doing nothing,
    comes spring
and the grass grows on its own.

It means that in very difficult times, where everything seems dead and hopeless (winter), being patient and doing nothing at all is best, and it will bring you into better times (spring).
