I just don’t know enough about American politicians to be able to tell that it’s a joke. With the stuff we see coming out of that country, it’s not unreasonable to think that was a serious tweet.
Totally right. The subtlety here is that the source of the nonsense tweets this way. This particular account is mocking them by imitating. The hilarious part (at least for me and OP) is that the mockery went right over their heads.
