Curious comment on an article which specifically mentions the possibility of European troops being deployed in Ukraine. That seems to be the opposite of closing their eyes.

I think the idea is that they close their eyes for a good couple of years.

The way I see it, it’s up to Ukraine to decide which nation’s troops are a legitimate target in their country.

And so far, I can only see them shoot at one nation’s soldiers: your soldiers, Putin. So piss off.

The obvious next step would be for EU to invade Ukraine as well, telling Russia to leave or they will be considered legitimate targets.

It is. We are preparing for that war. The surveillance and censorship laws are not in place yet. We can’t rely on everybody supporting the war if we start engaging in Ukraine right now. Once we would start positioning the armies, people would become aware that Russia will use nukes and they would chicken out.

The west should reject Russian troops in Ukraine, warning them that they ARE in fact a legitimate target.
