I have never been lurched at more while minding my own business by any breed other than pitbulls.

Yeah, because arseholes decide to own them due to their reputation, and mistreat them or otherwise force them to be violent. Twenty to thirty years ago it was Rottweilers. Dobermans and Staffordshire Bull Terriers have also had that same reputation. There are no bad dog breeds, just bad owners and traumatised animals. Do you know what breed is most likely to bite a human in Australia? Golden/Labrador Retrievers. Do you know why? They’re the most registered dog breed. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are the second most likely to bite humans. They are the second most registered dog breed. It’s not rocket science mate.

Anecdotally, the most aggressiveness I’ve had from dogs while out in my wheelchair has been from small dogs >10kg that bark, growl, lunge at me and try to bite my hands. It’s all classic “small dog syndrome” which any clever person knows is actually caused by owners letting their dogs get away with that behaviour because it’s “cute”.
