I’m guessing those asked were not those that vote for the far-right
I’m not sure of that. My impression is that many far-right voters actually want lefty things to happen. Since that’s not happening, their solution is to vote further to the right.
Far-right parties play in to this. They promise all the cool stuff,but deliver none. Far-right voters refuse to learn the lesson.

I think it’s a sentiment shared in most western countries nowadays and probably others as well.
We’ve grown disillusioned with political figureheads, they circular rhetoric and straight up lies.
Hell, I remember a few years ago a local news outlet published a statistic of “the most trusted professions” in my country. Suffice to say ‘Politician’ was at the bottom.
