The fired San Francisco judges who have spoken publicly have said that their decisions from the bench were motivated by adherence to the law, not personal ideology.

Immigration judges have their own weird status, where they’re DoJ employees, rather than having a lifetime appointment under Article III of the Constitution.

I swear why the hell does it feel like these are the two recent presidencies:

    Biden:

    Trump:

Seriously. Biden raised tax rates on these megacorporations that run our society now, and used about a trillion dollars of the money he raised to take big action on climate change and manufacturing jobs. Because he was actually working on important boring issues, the news hated him and focused on all these weird sound-bite things and pointed out that he’s old.

I’m not trying to give him a free pass on enabling Gaza or fucking up by failing to prosecute Trump when there was time for it, but the idea that he basically didn’t do anything is entirely a function of our gross-negligence media. If Trump had opened one factory, we’d have heard about it for months.

        Yes and no.

Biden was feckless in the extreme, and demonstrably failed to meet the challenge of incipient fascism in the US making a play to steal the whole fucking show. And now we live under a fascist regime.

Biden is going to be remembered in history books (at least, Non-American ones) amongst names like Neville Chamberlain and Paul von Hindenburg. That’s his legacy, and it’s his own fucking fault. And we have to live with the consequences.

Hopefully Merrick Garland too. I hope he never has a restful nights sleep again, the fucking coward.

SO MANY people were just absolute limpdicks in response to the clear and present danger of fascism. It honestly almost begs the question of whether this is actually what they wanted. That caliber of imbecilic, vacuous leadership is just astoundingly negligent, and they all continue to circlejerk themselves about how “nice” it was during the Biden admin.

I don’t think you’re wrong about aggressively prosecuting a major political party but

          . . . um

          Wait, isn’t that what they’re . . .

Hang on, I gotta call my lawyer. Or a script doctor. Not sure yet.
