In an interview with NBC News, Trump discussed the meeting and what he'll tell the military leaders: "You know the expression 'esprit de corps'? That's all it's about."

Donald Trump in an interview with NBC News Sunday, confirmed that he plans to attend an unusual meeting organized by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that will gather hundreds of senior military officers near Washington on Tuesday.

Hegseth last week summoned hundreds of senior military leaders, who are stationed all over the world, to Washington for a meeting of the Pentagon’s top brass.

Senior admirals and generals were not informed beforehand about the purpose of the meeting.

    two Generals came up with the idea to have the military swear to Hitler in hopes of drawing him away from the Nazi Party.

    I don’t understand this… is there a typo here or is my brain just malfunctioning?

      I’m an engineer not an English major, but I don’t think there are typos.

      But it is a really fucking weird thing to read and hurts my brain too. Apparently the story that Hitler demanded the oath was started amongst draftees, which makes sense as it’s the guy you’re swearing an oath to.
